Looking for a small vineyard for my wedding of only about 20 people. Any suggestions?

Recommended Posts

My girlfriend is looking for a very small vineyard for about 20 people for a very small ceremony. They do not need a ton of rentals, flowers etc. but would like to do a small "vowel renewal" type ceremony followed by a small dinner. We are not sure where to start. Help!

Hi Liz,

Harvest Inn (St. Helena) has some beautiful views of the vineyards, and certainly seems like they could accommodate a party of 20. They have some beautiful photos on their site for inspiration.

The Napa White House Inn, photo below, could also be a great idea!

As far as restaurants, I'd definitely look into Fume - they have an outdoor patio that could accommodate 20, but also offer catering as well.

Let us know how the planning goes!! I've featured this on the homepage, would be great to hear more information about past Napa weddings.

Hi Liz,

It's not a traditional vineyard, but I almost went with Farmstead/Long Meadow Ranch. http://www.longmeadowranch.com/Visit/Weddings

It's a farm-to-table restaurant that hosts events -- you can still get photos in front of the vines, or in their garden / on the patio. It has some of the best food I've ever had, and it was gorgeous!

Here's an example of a reception they had there, but they also do small ceremonies: http://www.weddingchicks.com/2012/07/12/farm-to-table-wedding/

I loved it because the food was so much tastier for the price, and (at the time, I think it's still that way), there was no extra venue fee, just for catering. They also do non-traditional meals, like luau style or pig roats.

In the end, we decided CA was close for us but too far for our family in FL. If we had decided on Napa, though, it would have definitely been there!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
