Good luck everyone!!!!

OK - I'm IN too! My 10 yr. HS reunion is the day after Thanksgiving and if I can lost 5lbs. then I would feel SO much better about the way I look. I mean tI doubt I'll be able to lose 10 and be what I weighed in HS but hey I can try!

So I go to SparkPeople and then what?

I get Self Magazine so i was thinking about trying to use there thing too...

well girls, I would join you, but I leave in 2 weeks, so I'm just going to try my best to eat good, drink lots of water, and exercise as much as possible.

However, I will still need to get in better shape when I get home (and lose what I gained during vacation, lol!), so I will join you when I get home.

I've used the self diet club thing before and liked it, I'll have to check out this other one.

Hopels,

I'm a gym rat so I will give yo usome pointers that really keep me in shape:

I eat 5-6 small meals Monday to Friday.

I allow myself to eat whatever I want on the weekend.

Definitely cut out soda and sugars and fatty foods during this tie. You'd be surprised how much a lack of SODA will seriously cause you to lose weight if you drink it regularly!

Aim for 45 minutes of cardio 3 or 4 times a week. Cardio is a MUST when wanting to lose weight.

It's healthy to lose between 2-3 lbs a week according to doctors.

You'll do great, no matter what you choose to do! Crash dieting is NOT the way! lol.

Take care!

So what's your opinion of Diet Soda? I've never understood the soda argument if it's Diet...or is it just bad for you in general? I need to stop drinking it, but need a really good reason!

You won't lose weight for cutting out diet soda. But, it can be dehydrating & keep you from getting the water you need. There are also a lot of artificial things in it that can be bad for you. And it stains your teeth.

There are 2 ingredients in diet mountain dew that can react to create a really dangerous compound. Really any diet drink with vitamin C can be a problem.

I stopped drinking coke all together until I started grad school. Then I found I had to have the caffein. I stick to 1 a day. Not great, but atleast I have a limit.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
