Photography is my number-one budget priority. Its result is powerful. Its value, priceless.

It's true what they say about weddings-- it's only one day. Hard to justify exorbitant expenses. But seeing as how it will be the best day of my life-- the day I finally marry my best friend and soul mate-- it is imperative that we have editorial, photographic documentation of as much of this day as possible.  The right photos can transcend time and space, transporting the viewer back to the past with startling accuracy, like with memories associated with smell or song.  For us, the right photography will ensure the days' events do not fade, that history can not be revised by imperfect memory or others' versions of events.  Our wedding photos will be our most precious mementos of the day; of course we want them to be beautiful, elegant, and exceptional, but it's crucial the moments remain accurate, natural, pure, vibrant, and alive.

Photography should capture feelings, not just images.

The feeling I imagine I will feel on that day is not one I ever want diminished by budgetary limitations, such as missed opportunity, only one shooter, creative short-sightedness, traditional posey-ness, reaching an arbitrary number of frames.  Our wedding day will mark a day of celebration, when two people fated to be together will overcome years of challenges and difficulties that did not drive us apart, but rather brought us together and cemented our bond.  It will celebrate our acquired ability to roll with even the biggest punches.  It will mark our triumph over all the adversity. I want to look back and feel that triumph forever.

I have yet to book a photographer because I am nervous to entrust this critical mission to photographers in our price range. So I continue to hem-and-haw. While photography is our number-one priority, we have to face the reality of our budget. It would be an absolute honor and an answered prayer to experience the graphic beauty and evocative imagery of Sam Luna's photography on our wedding day.

Thank you for offering one lucky bride the opportunity to have such a priceless gift!

Photography captures so much of life and this is one of the biggest days of our lives as it is such an important aspect of the wedding.  What better way to make our marriage even more perfect as to have great pictures to reminisce. It will also allow us to share with those who weren't able to attend as I wish they were all there.

I also can't wait to use mother nature as our back drop, you can't ask for a better setting!!

It is a key piece that I believe puts my wedding together. For my wedding, Photography will serve as multiple sets of eyes that will capture special moments and extra piece of memory that will never fade away. Once my wedding has come and gone, the last piece that will complete my "wedding puzzle" will be the photographs. Through my wedding photos, I expect to not only to be able to re-live one of the most amazing days of my life but also to enjoy the various angles and moments that only a lens can capture. We all know that with time our memories slowly fade away, but those memories can be cherished for life through photographs. With that said, for my wedding Photography is like that final piece of a puzzle, it is the last but most crucial piece because it completes your puzzle cheesy.gif

How important is photography to you on your wedding day, and why?

Photography is the timeless aspect of a wedding that never fades or falters with age.  There are few moments in life as beautiful, real, and full of love as a wedding day.  The good, the bad, and the ugly:  all weddings have moments weâ€ll never forget.  Being in the right place at the right time to capture “the moment†is what everyone is looking for.  However, photography isnâ€t just capturing an event or moment in time; itâ€s an expression without words, a memory without thought, and a time with no end.  We all have flashes of clarity when the universe aligns, where rhyme meets reason, and our lives change forever when you meet your past, present, and future in one person.  On our wedding day, Samuel Luna Photography will give us something individually unique, something for our family to cherish, and hopefully something for our kids to appreciate one day.

Wedding photography is one of the most important things to me in our wedding. It's the only way to capture all the memorable moments of our special day. Not only do I want to be able to look back years from now and remember the day but I also want to share that it with our children and grandchildren. I want the photography to be more than "just pictures". I want it to capture the emotions of the day. My fiancé and I come from different cultural backgrounds, he's American and I am Indian. With that said, not only will we be uniting on our wedding day but so will our families and in essence our cultures. Not to mention that Indian wedding traditions are comprised of bright colors, from decor to clothing and I really want the photography to capture those. I am so excited about my wedding day that I can't even imagine the smile on my face when I am showing all my friends and family the pictures:)

Wedding photography is MOST important to me... One picture or photograph isn't just something to put into an album or hang on your wall. It is a moment frozen in time. A moment that when I look at it will take me back to the thoughts, the smells, and most importantly the FEELINGS and EMOTIONS that I had on the day that I will celebrate on the same day every year as the day I married the man that I love and hold dearest to me. Wedding photography to me isn't just taking a snap shot but holding a moment and experience still for all time. And that is why it is so important to me on my wedding day because I would love to relive and re experience these moments with my family, friends, and my future family of my own. Something to smile and say remember when...

I hope my words have given an idea to you how deeply the wedding photography is for me on mine and Harrison's wedding day.

Photography is the most important aspect of a wedding to me.  I've waited many many years for my day to come and I want to have those photos to share with family and friends.  When we grow old together I want to be able to pull out our wedding album and remember what a great day we had and see how we have grown as a couple.  Having a destination wedding makes photography even more important.  Many of our family members will not be able to attend so pictures is all we will have to share our special day with them.

There are moments of our lives that are so important that we will do the impossible to capture them. To capture the smile of your grandparents, a tear of happiness from a father walking her daughter down the isle. The bride getting ready for the biggest moment of her life. The moment when the couple is receiving the blessing from God to guide them in the future as a couple. A photograph is a memory from the past that will always capture those feelings that were present on that day and will remind you how important that day was. Things come and go, but a picture will always will be always a KODAK MOMENT! a time machine that brings you back to that exact day!!! Therefore, a special event with out a photographer will not be an event at all!!

Photography is of the utmost importance in any magical moment. A candid photograph is authentic and produces diverse feelings indescribable by words. There's laughter, passion and emotion; kindness, sweetness and devotion. By looking at Samuel's pics I came with the inspiration to write a poem that shows my admiration for those photographers that truly capture a momentum.

I love a man,

He loves me back,

we share our lives

and we'll make it last.

We'll marry soon

in an afternoon

we'll soon kiss as bride and groom.

We'll have a cake and a first dance,

with family and friends making us laugh,

we'll have a toast for our love,

and drink and dance until is dawn.

We'll celebrate with our friends,

we'll drink champagne for our day,

we'll thank them twice for coming by,

wishing it never had to end.

So, what would be without memories?

without those pictures to relive?

as I grow old I can remind

that once I was young and did it right

as I'm still married...to the love of my life.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
