Black ring with tire tread imprinted...

Recommended Posts

My FI found that ring. He wanted a tungston ring and so he searched for weeks. One day he goes how bout this one and showed me a tungston one with tire tread design and I laughed. I don't think he seriously wanted it but thought it was funny. But I HAVE seen this ring. About the ER thing it is true you cannot cut it. But you CAN engrave it..my FI is engraving his the trick you MUST go to a FINE jeweler to do it. When they first came out people wouldn't but since it's becoming more popular they will. I think hahah. Anyways about the ER...it's pressure..b/c tungston is like a ceramic the way it is made they have to clamp it and apply pressure to crack it. I have seen tungston break personally in a jewelry store ....so it can come off just with pressure. Anyways just thought I'd throw that out there not to rule out tungston. I will tell my FI to find the tire tread one again...and I'll look but I HAVE seen it...good luck! And tungston is beautiful! The smoky color I love it wink.gif

Well I did some searching and I couldn't find the tire tread one but I'm still looking. But I found some you might like for him. Just ideas. I forgot to put that I would recommend polished tungston. When we got his the jeweler said b/c the way they brush tungston it is possible to scratch the brushed tungston. So he recommended the polished b/c its harder. If that makes sense. We have his ring but he can't wear it yet *wink* but when he does I'll let you know how it does. Anyways heres some pics to see if you like any of them. Or give you an idea. I'm sorry if they're big I don't know how to make them smaller yikes...

Carly, check out Scott Kay. He has a Sparta collection, but not all the designs are on the website, but you can request a brochure from the website. My fiance picked out a band he liked from that collection, and they had it at Bailey, Banks and Biddle for $1100. Not sure how much you want to spend, but I thought I saw something similar to a tire tread design. I couldn't find it on the website though.

This will take you to the men's rings.

Matt tells me last night he was only kidding about the tire tread ring. I was like "WHAThuh.gif!!!! After all the work me and the girls put into researching and trying to find it for you!?"

He said not for a wedding band. He does still like the dark metals though, so there's a step.

Sometimes that man just drives me crazy. Thank you all for your research and help looking into this!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
