Help! 2 of my 4 bridesmaids dropped out 6 mon before destination wedding.

Recommended Posts

Ok I need advice! 2 of my 4 bridesmaids dropped out of my wedding due to an argument. To keep costs down because everyone is traveling I arranged my own bachelorette party at a family members ocean front beach house. I left all other plans for the party them but explained I wanted a simple low cost girls beach weekend. My maid of honor and long time HS friend apparently didn't get this memo and forced the other 2 to spend tons of money on useless crap and anSUV full of food nobody ate bc we wanted to be on the beach (we meaning myself and the other guests). The weekend became a disaster and not very fun. It was more about the 2 of them showing off and not about me and my last hurrah. I was really hurt by all of this and they proceeded to call me ungrateful even though nothing was done that was for me or about me. If you were a fly on the wall you wouldn't have even known it was my bachlorette party- just a beach weekend they invited people too. So when we all got home and the dust settled they began to complain to my other friends and it wasn't warmly received so they dropped out and cancelled my shower. Thank god for my other 2 bc they stepped up and picked up the pieces. My fiancé wants me to replace the 2 that dropped out. It would only entail the purchase of a dress which has always been a little black dress of their choice. Shower was taken over financially by my mother and mother in law. What do I do?

maybe only replace one of them or none.   This happened to a friend of mine.  she ended up having one less bridesmaid.  so what she did is she had the last one walk down with two of the groomsmen on each arm.  it worked out fine

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
