Picking the right resort(s)... to please everyone

Recommended Posts

Please help!!! Half of our family refuses to stay anywhere but an adults only all inclusive resort, and the other half of the family has kids and cannot leave them home. Does anyone know of "sister" resorts that are close to each other so family can attend the wedding, and can travel between the two?

THANKS FOR ANY INPUT!!!

I think the Dreams (kids allowed) in Cabo is related to Zoetry (adults only) - I can't remember the details, but I think it's walkable?  The only thing is that if you hold the wedding at Zoetry, Dreams guests will need a pass that you will have to pay for.  If you hold it at Dreams, the Zoetry guests can go for free.  Hope that helps/makes sense.

The Gran Porto Real and Royal in Playa del Carmen are sister resorts... GPR is kid friendly where the Royal is adults only, but Royal guests have full access to GPR (but not other way around-unless they pay for best rooms) so the wedding could be at GPR and the Royal guests could come for the festivities.

The NOa Amber and Secrets are side-by-side in PV, and one if fid-friendly, the other is adults only...you can even go to the restaurants in each of them no matter which one you are staying at, as long as you don't have kids with you

karisma resorts have sections of the resort reserved for adults only- allowing them to have child free restaurants, pools and room areas... Azul Sensatori may be worth you looking at.

I went to a wedding in Jamaica and half of the group stayed in the adults only Sandals and the rest of the group stayed at Breezes. It worked great for everyone. They had an offsite Catholic Church wedding and had their reception at Breezes.

I am having a hard time know with planning because I have parents who are refusing to fly.   My mom wants me to do a cruise wedding which is not my vision at all.   But of course since she is my mom, I am weighing those options.  My first choice is Jamaica.  ;)

Our travel agent is amazing!! She gave us all the information we needed in order to choose the best resort for us & our guests. I suggest reaching out to a travel agent. Patty Jordan with Wright Travel is phenomenal!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
