Gran Bahia Brides Re: Photography

Recommended Posts

Hello and congrats on your engagement!

I'm planning my own wedding for April 16th, 2013 at the Gran bahia Principe, Runaway Bay, jamaica

I booked an amazing photographer, Stacey Clarke (local, in Jamaica) and I'm looking to find any brides getting married  April 15th or April 17th who would be interested in booking with her as well. If we both do then she will stay at the resort and we won't have to pay the pesky resort fee for an outside photographer (800US).

Her work really is amazing and I'm super excited she was available.

:)
Thanks

Hi

I had the same problem.  I was booking Merrick Cousley, and he brought that to my attention.  My wedding is on November 15, 2012.  Unfortunately because of our budget, we couldn't justify the $800 USD just to have him come on the resort.  My fiancé and I just bought a house.  Anyways, we found that the Gran Bahia has a prefered photographer, Arrecife.  They probably started to charge the $800 fee to ensure that people would use their preferred photographer.  The website for them is http://www.arrecifestudio.com/ing/weg/galeria.php?ps=3&ht=6&sub=5

An outside photographer will give you more value for your money (before the additional surcharge), however once you factor that $800 in, its just not worth it.  We looked at the Arrecife's photos and just decided to go with them.  Really and truly we don't need 800+ photos of us.  That was our choice.

Best of luck with yours,

PrincessKO

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
