Hi everyone! I'm new to the thread our date is June 12, 2013 We are right now looking at different travel arrangements and trying to figure out some attire. I have my gown I pick it up the 15th of this month!!! I think we are having about 30 guest but that can all change and we are really wanting a private reception. What colors is everyone using and are you using the free bouquet? Also do we get a rehearsal dinner does anyone know? OK ladies talk with ya soon!

hey ladies! just wondering, how far in advance are you all booking your accomodations? I don't want to book too early (my wedding date is July 2013), but I'm so anxious to have it booked already! also, are most people going thru a travel agent? I had planned to do that and got price quotes, but it's so much cheaper online! which I think will be much more attractive to many of my guests.....

          Hi Everyone,

Just saying "hello" to the future Iberostar Rose Hall Beach brides.  We just solidified our date; 10/15/2013.

We just received our Save-the-dates. Do you think mailing out the Save-the-dates 12Months in advance is enough notice for the guests?

FYI, I got save the date magnets from http://www.agiftfulheart.com/ They came out awesome.  Definitely check out their website.  Many beach templates available.  It was great for me because I'm not "girly" enough to make my own specific design.  Although that is an option.

I can't wait to send them out.

          -Kristina

Congrats on getting the date finalized!

I sent out our save the dates about 13-14 months out. I wanted to make sure the people who wanted to join us had the time to plan for the trip and start saving. I did magnets as well and it's great to see them on the fridge at relatives houses :)

We are using a travel agent, who is booking everyone with a FunJet group discount. The pricing doesn't seem to be much different than what I would find online on my own, except with the travel agent we get the group discount (about $100 per reservation) and a few extra perks (one reservation free for every 20 that book, return accommodations a year after the wedding, etc). It's just easier to direct everyone to a single source for booking their travel.

The flights came out about 10 months prior to our wedding date. We booked early, and I am glad we did as we were able to get better flight options than what is currently out there. I am actually having a tough time finding an acceptable flight for our photographer that doesn't involve a 10 hour layover someplace, and at a reasonable price.

                Hi Krista,

I'm jealous that you have your dress already! I won't be looking for mine until mid-October. My understanding is that you can have a private reception if you want, but you will have to pay for it. I don't have the price sheet in front of me, but I think it's around $800. And you do get a welcome/rehearsal dinner if you want one. I chose to have mine at the Japanese restaurant since I thought it would be fun and casual.

The colors I am using are orange, pink, fuchsia. I am using real touch flowers and once I found a bouquet I liked, I used that as my color palette. I don't have a picture of MY bouquet, but I have a picture of my maid of honor's below. I liked the fact that I could hold onto the flowers after the wedding and keep them with our wedding photos.

that's good to know, thank you...I will be traveling w/ my infant son, so we definitely don't want anything to do w/ a 10 hour layover! I think I'll book soon...thanks for the advice! :)

Hi everyone! Does anyone know what the free bouquet looks like? And can we pick out any colors for it? Our colors are fuschia and aqua :)

You can find all this info and pics on there wedding website:

                      http://www.weddingsb...ng_packages.htm

Pictures of the Bouquets are here:  (Pg 2)  From all the pics I have seen of actually weddings, they seem to be fairly close. More tropical colors like pinks, roses, oranges, etc.

                      http://www.weddingsb...etails_IBRH.pdf

You could contact Tai Flora and see if they could include the colors you want (If it uses the same flowers, I'm sure they can make a bouquet for you). Aqua might be the tricky party ad I don't think its one of there standard flowers..so you may have to upgrade it.
