I love love love Jenny's idea. If you are seeking pop, then you should definitely go with her idea.

But, if you want your reception to be more neutral, then I think you should do green and white pomaders and sangria table runner and sash. So, I think it's more about what kind of vibe you are seeking to create!

Thanks!!!!

I would LOVE to see pictures of your ceremony and reception with these colors. Are you planning on doing your own thread with all of your wedding stuff?

I agree with you. This site is amazing...I'm in love! love.gif

K I'm officially following this thread..Talk of red and purple (love the idea!), drinking (despite the fact that we drink less than we talk about it), and how we should be doing school work when we're on here.

LOL!

I am finishing my masters right now (defending in july) and it's been a whirlwind since getting engaged lol. I'm glued to this forum!punk.gif

Well, the upside of being an accountant is knowing that your budget will be on point :) Since you don't want to be an accountant anymore, what are you hoping to secure with your new degree?

So, are you thinking about doing a bright color for one and a mute color for the other? Or maybe a neutral shade for both?

Yes, I'm glad that's what my colors convey. pinkie.gif

Ohhhhh...i'll have to check out that thread.  It might give me some innovative drink ideas...lol.

The funny part to that is I do so much of that at work that I have little desire to be that indepth with things.  I know it will be accurate, but i won't be spending a whole lot of time making myself nuts over the semantics...

I'm hoping to enter into the government also, but we'll see what happens.

I'm not sure if i'm just going to be really bold or make one color more predominant.  I'm thinking I might make the lavender/purple more prominent then add the bright red pops of color.  But we'll see.

LOL MrsShoreytobe.  Welcome welcome to the notquitesomuchalush forum.  Glad you like the red and purple idea.  I'll definitely show my colors once I make my final decision.  This forum is great and the ideas, support, and encouragement are AWESOME!!!  Because really the people around you sometimes really don't have much interest in all this wedding stuff so another bride is really your best option.  It also gives me an outlet to gripe, and to learn new helpful information and ideas! welcome.gif

I can understand the need to escape! You are involved with it all day. Wedding planning should be fun...and you don't want to drag your work into it essentially.

GL trying to get a gov't position. My FH has been telling me more about why a gov't job is better than a civilian job.

I just did a Google image search on lavender and red wedding. I liked what I saw! Another idea I just thought of was lavender, eggplant and red. I think that would be so visually appealing! pinkie.gif

Yes! With all of my family, I just want to talk about wedding related issues. But, I try to balance it with non-wedding topics. Since I've been on here, the convo has shifted to all of the stuff that I learned about on here! LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
