We're having 2 bridesmaids and 2 groomsmen.  I decided to not name a MOH and keep them both as bridesmaids.  Or co-MOHs lol

Ooo is there any way to cruise all the way back to where you're from? That would eliminate 1 flight for FI but extend the vacation... Wooot LOL

Oh she will be there... her babies have plenty of people that can take care of them while they are gone!

I actually looked into us taking a ship from Boston to St. Lucia both ways... well I had my TA look anyways.  She said the only options was to do a private charter and never even gave me prices cause they were outrageous.  I guess I should have asked her what they were anyways haha

He will be okay - we fly all the time.. he just hates it --- he can deal!

2 of each sounds great!

What are your colors?

We're doing yellow and grey, how about you?

Hehe poor guy but it'll all be forgotten once he's in paradise!

Have you ever travelled to the fall?  I wonder if I need to buy my bridesmaids cardigans.  The weather is so iffy but I still want to do a beach wedding and beach reception.  Have you decided on your wedding and reception sites?

Oh Grey and yellow is pretty!!

I'm asking all my guest to wear white (or shades of)  and doing yellow as an accessories color.  I am sending all the girls yellow flower hair clips and the guys yellow ties - then they can wear whatever they want (as long as it is white! haha)

As for other things like decorations - I don't really have colors - I just want bright and tropical -  I am making a brooch bouquet for myself - it will be a mix of flowers and brooches .. bight colors.   I'm undecided about what to have my MOH hold...

I don't have to decided on my ceremony/reception space until I get to the resort.  They show us all the options when we get there and they we pick.   I know the options include - beach, garden lawn, and garden gazebo.   I always just assumed I'd want the beach .. but I might change as I'm sure the gardens are amazing!

I'm not too sure what to expect for the temperature.  I did google 'average temperature in st lucia in october' and it says days 86 nights 79 --- So I don't expect it to be chilly but I'm not sure if the nights might feel chilly at that point.

Our Ceremony is @ 4 -- I imagine it will still be warm if not hot by them so I dunno!

I did get the ladies pashminas to include in the welcome bags - I couldn't think of anything else to do for the guys except socks LOL

I love your ideas!  I think your photos will look amazing with white with yellow accessories.  I wanted to get all our girls yellow flower clips as well but it wasn't in our budget afterall.

I do want beach as well, but our TA kept saying to avoid beach because it can get messy for guests and food.  I wonder if anyone has posted their experiences here.  I'll have to go forum searching.  :)

We did something similar and got our ladies beach dresses for the OOT and are thinking tuxedo tshirts for the guys.  We're going to take the group out on a catamaran one day so we figured it'd be a great time for them to sport their new attire if they wanted to.   Here's a pic of the wrap dresses we bought in all diff colours.

400

I'm sorry girls, didn't mean to take over the board.  How is planning going for the rest of the girls as well?

How many people are you inviting?

Hi Rayn,

Had  a busy weekend, so couldn't check the forum until now.  We sent about 120 stds (some we know already can't make it but just for formality)  so we might end up with 80?  I think that's pretty huge for destination. LOL.  I wish I can engrave something on the back of the luggage tags that's a little permanent like a quote or something.

Oh I love these dresses.. I was just looking at them on Amazon I think... you ordered from dhgate? I bet you got them for a good price!  Do you have them yet?  I might need to get some :)

Tux shirts are a cute idea!

I actually found the flower clips at Michaels a while ago.. they are a set of two bobby pins with yellow plumaria flowers on each....they were in the section where everything is $1.50 --- I ended up getting them on sale with coupon and I think my final price was about .25 cents - I can't really remember... they don't have them at michales anymore -- your wedding is probably too early in the year for them to come out again.

You could probably make some if you could find a bunch of yellow that come with like 6 flowers and a pack of clips... a little hot glue and BAM!!  haha

Let me know if you find out anything about the beach reception...

I found them on DHgate, I haven't received them yet but hopefully they're just like the picture.  The seller was really nice and sent me a bunch of pictures of the item before I ordered.  I'll tell you if the guests like them :)

You're soo right!  If I could just find the flowers I could go make my own hairclips!!  Thanks for the idea

Yeah I was feeling bad about the takeover.

I keep hearing bad things about DHgate.  I did some research and it seems like a number of ppl had issues with them.  I thought about using them also.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
