Yes I totally went to deals and bought the arm rings for my toddler RB and FG, for my other FG i'm thinking one of the inflatable lounge chairs for the water but I might want it for myself! LOL So I found out my wedding package includes a private rehearsal dinner for 20 people. I originally was going to reserve a spot at the japanese restaurant for 24 people but Im thinking maybe I should take advantage of the free rehearsal dinner with a set menu and do the japanese restaurant another night with the people that won't be at the rehearsal dinner (since it would only be immediate family and the bridal party) What do you girls think?
Sounds like a good idea to me..use all of your inclusions offered

He actually sat with me last night to go over details! We looked at photographers, figured out an invitation design and picked out our colors! Cutest moment was when I asked "what should our colors be?" He looks at me with the most perplexed serious face "we have to pick out colors???" I start cracking up and he goes "I'm sorry!! I had no idea! Really! I don't know these things!!"

Luckily I don't mind if he doesn't care about colors, flowers or invites but he actually gave a lot of input which i'm happy about.

I love bright colors so was thinking along the lines of fuschia or coral but they are "too pink" for him. He wants blue and I half jokingly said "and orange?" Half joking because blue and orange are the Mets team colors and we are die-hard baseball and Mets fan. But I do also love orange cause it's so bright.

I google inspiration boards for him (and again he was like "whoa, what are inspiration boards?" lol) and we decided to do lighter shades of blue and orange to fit the tropical destination ... so to be fancy we're calling it "teal and tangerine" lol

My fiance was the same way. He was way too relaxed about the whole thing while I was stressing and doing everything. We have looked at colors and agreed that teal/aqua would be our color but I really like the orange too so I think I might just go with your colors too.. I am glad he gave a lot of input. I have to drag things out of my fiance or he just says he doesn't care about the details. I just think he doesn't want to do any of the work.. smh

I'm also doing welcome drinks with everyone on Friday night before the wedding so the rehearsal dinner would be immediately after the welcome drinks. Im thinking maybe people would be too drunk to care that it's just immediate family anyway and we could meet up after the dinner since there is nightly entertainment at the resort. Although I imagine I'll be calling it quits early that night so I can be well rested for the wedding the next day.

Is the Welcome drinks private or just meeting at a bar? I don't think the others will care if its jsut immediate family, esp if you put in an itnerary in the welcome bag? like indicate there's this dinner for the bridal aprty and immediate family and then another dinner sunday?

ahh that's a good idea. The welcome drinks is not private but at a bar in the resort which a lot of people don't know about b/c it's not by the beach or pools.

I think that's a great idea regarding the itinerary!!! Thanks!

haha yeah, I sort of felt like I was hounding him, trying to trick him into wedding talk but he's coming around slowly.

I love this! We're doing purple, aqua and silver. The idea is to have stronger and softer versions of each color (e.g. purple, lavender).  However, I've been wanting something a little more rich than the aqua, and I think teal might be the ticket!

Thanks! I agree about one "strong" shade and then "accent" colors :)

Sounds like typical men ... I think I realized with my guy, it's not so much he doesn't care, it's

1. he's clueless ("colors for what?", "what's the difference between all these flowers?", "what are getting ready shots?", "what's a trash the dress?" etc.)

2. he wants me to have "my" wedding, how I want it, what I want (within  reason and budget of course) bc I'm the girl

I notice when I don't push him, he's a lot more open.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
