Ok! I'd Ike to propose something. We obviously are becoming a little group here and I'm embarrassed to say I can't remember everyone's dates and locations. Now that I'm getting to know u guys. Could you all post your wedding date and location. And what city u live in? That way ill take a pic of it on my iPad . I'm too lazy to keep referring to everyone's profiles. Lol
This is a cute idea! St. Lucia 10.22.14 Boston, MA

Hmmm both really cute! Can you do a combo of them? can you leave them on the seats and just do every other for each?
Opps.. I meant to add that I too am trying to decide between two different "send off" ideas... I plan to give everyone a wedding day bag in the morning... So I am thinking about putting in both items - label them for the guys and the girls ... or something like that.

I think my FI and sister/MOH are kinda tired of hearing wedding talk everyday and I know I can come here for a little input! I have become diy queen and finished my first project maracas that will be placed on place setting (shake for a kiss/party prop) 400 Then for the ceremony I was planning on making these paper cones for confetti 400 Until I saw this!!! 400 Looved the idea so much that I went to Michaels and went to purchase the materials to make them BUT now I'm thinking what will the guests do with them after the ceremony? Throw them out? Take them to the reception? But then they would have the same use as the maracas won't they?? Should I just have both?
Lori: I love the maracas! I think that the two serve different functions. The streamers will just be for your entrance or exit and the maracas people will shake for your kiss. I'm curious---how are you making these?

So I had one picked out that I thought was Perrrrfect! Then I realized it was not because it is black. He will be wearing light beige and brown tones so a black watch will not work. I found one similar in brown... but it wasn't as nice. So I am on a hunt. . . The elements I want it to have are; Brown - so it matches Diamonds - I thought since he is giving me diamonds he should get some -- nothing too blingy.. like instead of numbers little diamonds Mother of Pearl - I thought since we are doing Mother of Pearl stuff for our parents it would be a nice touch... again nothing too much -- either the hands or the face could be Mother of Pearl... or both if I can find one that has both and isn't girly. As far as brand... I just don't know .. I need to find a couple options then look at the brand to make sure it is one he would wear :)
My dad sells fancy schmancy watches via net. I'll ask him to take a look

Thanks ladies! I definitely like the streamers better than the cones. That's exactly what I wanted to know, if they served the same or different purpose. Brownsugarbride, I bought everything at Michaels: dowlers (I prefer to just call them sticks lol) and bought 3 different color ribbon. Then you glue the end of the ribbons to the end of the stick and wrap it with another piece of ribbon so you can't see the glued on ribbon and way lah!

I love the maracas!! I'm doing those as a favor and asking people to shake them for a kiss too!! However I did not do them myself. they're from Etsy. Also glad you decided to do both they definitely serve different purposes! I love the streamers so cute!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
