Aww leave dad alone! My Dad is the same Talking is his specialty. .lol

Is there any farms or anything near you that you could rent - set up a tent and what not?  My friend had her reception on a farm like that.. it was really cute!

Hahah - I think it's funny (for the most part) that my Dad can talk the way he does... he tells the same stories over and over and over and over and over... most start with "I probably told you this one already"  and then he tells the whole thing again anyways!    One of his favorites to tell strangers (he tells every waitress we have when we are out together) about how he held all his kids before they were a minute old. Then says this is my daughter (while pointing at me).. HAHAh  he is a weirdo - I think its funny.. he thinks it embarrasses me : )

Ah it's the little things that give such joy..hahaha

Great deal too.. your giving to guest pre departure from wedding? Like on way to airport?

So I actually have little packages that I will be sending to everyone every three months starting with my STDs that I will be sending this month and ending with the pre departure packages that they will get about a week and a half before they leave.

It would be cute to be able to give them to everyone at the airport but we will be leaving days before everyone else and we don't all live near each other so everyone will be at different airports.

Another side note.... I got the pasminas in that I ordered in the mail today!

They are a bit different that I thought they would be - from what I thought they looked like online... At first I was like WTF - but I actually really like them now : )

Yay!  Hahhaha

Aww - I hope you Dad comes around and walks you down the aisle at your DW!   That is a cute idea of doing all your childhood candy favs!   The beachy theme is cute - it is a nice way to make everyone feel like they are a part of the whole wedding. Open bar is goood!  I have mixed feelings about hard alcohle at functions like this.. I feel like beer and wine are safer ... people get crazy(ier) with hard stuff.  I might do a signature drink then just beer and wine... I will do kegs - way cheaper then cans/bottles and if you have it behind a bar/table with a bartender and a nice tap it doesn't look like a frat party : ) grooms cakes are cute : )
Me too but if not that's on him.. Yes true hard liquors bring out the beast FI wants open bar so it'll be there..the DW is an AI so there will be all round liquors for those guest.. I think grooms cakes are cute too.

No not really close enough. My sister has the space but too long a drive I think for guests. Hahaha too cute proud dad:-)..im the opposite my dads stories are both funny and embarrassing. .he likes to say our whole name out in public first middle and last and he's sooo loud in everything he does..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
