It has been my favourite flower for years! They are expensive, so I usually only get them for my birthday haha. But I refuse to have a wedding without them. They don't really have a smell, but the colours of them are just magnificent. Dreams is going to charge me an arm and a leg for them, but I don't want that many, just enough to create a symmetry with my colours. I was thinking of using fake flowers, but the few I did find, the colours were diminished, and that just won't work for me. I can't wait to see my bouquet either! LOL. I am hoping it will look something similiar to this:

700(sorry, I said tiger lily, I meant stargazer lily).

OH MY!!! That is a breathtaking bouquet ....ESP with your dress!!!!! You better post/email me a pic with you AND your bouquet !!! (Your FH or DH, by then, can be in the pic too! LOL) With a bouquet like that, I can see why you get it for your bday and why you must include them in your wedding!!!! I read the comment you posted about the white flowers instead of the orange...I think the orange is awkward in the bouquet. It's funny I kind of mentally blocked them out when I have been looking at the pic. lol You know you could even get away with just the lilies and orchid. The white flowers might distract because it is so colorful!

When doesn't a wedding related service provider want to charge you an arm and a leg?!? I'm waiting for the WC that I want to start this contest or whatever to give away a wedding package worth $1500...I'm determined to win!!! lol

GL trying to get a gov't position. My FH has been telling me more about why a gov't job is better than a civilian job.

I just did a Google image search on lavender and red wedding. I liked what I saw! Another idea I just thought of was lavender, eggplant and red. I think that would be so visually appealing! pinkie.gif

Yes! With all of my family, I just want to talk about wedding related issues. But, I try to balance it with non-wedding topics. Since I've been on here, the convo has shifted to all of the stuff that I learned about on here! LOL

Exactly, I don't even talk accounting when i'm home...lol.  And that's why I had to take a step back because for a moment it wasn't fun and that's definitely not how things should be.

Yes, they aren't the easiest jobs to get but if you get in, definitely a lot better than a lot of these private jobs lately.

Hmmm...i'll definitely have to google the lavender, eggplant, and red and see what that looks like.  THANKS...I love all the input!  It's wonderful.

LOL@ the convo shift to what you learned; I just did that to my FH today.  I know he's thinking I wish she would stop checking into all these sites...thatswck.gif

Wow, that is gorgeous!!!  It's so unique and pretty!  I like that a lot.  The blue orchid almost appears violet.

Yes, I'm sure Google and Pinterest would be helpful!

Whenever I talk about this site and the idea from a certain person, I'm always trying to figure out how to word things. LOL

LOL! Similar situation with my FH. The amount of wedding talk they seem to be able to handle is about 1min a month! LOL. I'm happy when he actually asks me about something wedding related eek.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
