I still don't have colors picked out. I can't choose.

I'm also stressing out about my budget... ughhhh

Anyways how are you ladies fairing?

I mean, yes, we are doing our legal ceremony next Wednesday (OMG!), but I really need to sit down, go over our budget again, and figure out exactly what our expenses will be! Start booking people, and get all that in order. And now I can start buying stuff for our OOT bags :D

On an :offtopic2:moment...... we pick up our puppy tonight!!!!!!!! :woot::pinkie::smile123:

I think ones you get through your legal you will be able to focus more....  Yay for Puppy!!

I can't wait until I get to that point. I'm still feeling very lost in the sauce of it all.

I'm not sure if this has been asked or not but did anyone do Return address labels? Or stamps? I'm on a budget and I'm trying to decide which would be most economical.

People may disagree, but I'm not doing any RSVP cards at all. I'm asking people to either RSVP on the website or to call. (Or are you talking about something completely different?)

Today has been trying... on my emotions and my patience. I wrote a post about my MOH to-be declining my offer, I'm not hijacking this thread with my sob story lol. But there was a light at the end of the tunnel. I finally had a real conversation with my Travel agent and she really turned this not so sunny day into a brighter day.

I will be completing my group contract hopefully in the next week and putting my deposit down for my room block. This wedding is REALLY happening. I suspect this is what pregnant women go through when they pick out the crib & stroller for thier unborn children. (I could be completely wrong about that though as I know absolutely nothing about being pregnant.

I'm excited. sad... but excited. I'm focusing on getting this wedding together. So now.... I have a question.

What do i put in my invitations? I hate to sound clueless & perhaps I should peruse the forum, I just wanted to post an update ( and hopefully get closer to 150, I digress). What kind of enclosures are you including? What specific information needs to be included? I've been to 3 destination weddings and i can't for the life of me remember what the heck was in the invitation.

Present Brides: What did you include in your invitation? Past Brides: What did you wish you put in your invitation?

(I probably should have posted this elsewhere... forgive me)

No need to apologize - we talk about anything and everything on this board!!!!

First off - Wow that is too bad about your MOH - I imagine that was not easy to deal with....  Do you have a different person to ask or are you not going to have one now?

As far as the invites - I haven't made mine yet... plan on sending them next month so I need to get a move on .. I'm just undecided on how I want to put them together.    I also may not be the best person to answer this because I think I am probably doing things a bit different...

Did you send out Save the Dates?  If so, what info did you include in those?

If you haven't already given out the following info it might be good to include (in the order they came to my mind right now- haha)

- TA Info

- Dress Code

- Booking Info

- Normal Invite Stuff (Date, Time, Location)

- Resort Info

- Island Info

- Any Other (anything that you might want them to know to make planning their trip easier)

- Website Info (if you have a wedding website)

OR if you do have a website and you think people will check it regularly you can just put normal info and put the rest on the website

That is all I can think of right now. Hope that was at least a little helpful :)

RaynDrop... you're so awesome and amazing! Your post made me smile. I am composing STDs this weekend. I figured that I might as well get my invitations together since I'm into spending money. I feel like it's so hard for me to even know what to put in the invitations. I don't want to forget anything. I will be working on my wedding website this weekend. I have guests of all ages. I don't know how many people are going to regularly look at the website, honestly. So it looks like I'm going to have to be more traditional and includen the RSVP cards. I'm going include RSVP postcards so that I can save on postage.

Guess it's time I start working on this wesite :hissyfit: I'm so not good at this kind of stuff. But I want like a real website wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Aww I am glad to help!   While I think wedding websites are super cute I opted not to do one.. I'm not sure how many people will bother to look at it.  If I had one I would utilize it to update everyone on stuff I want them to know.. then I would get annoyed if they didn't check it.  hahah That just might be me though!

I know some girls have done a secret FB page that only their guest can be a part of.... This would be a better option for me since I know most of them use FB - of course there are a couple of my guest that don't use it often - so again that would annoy me.

I did however set up a special email just for wedding stuff - that seems to work ok so far.  The only issue I had with it when I sent out the first message was that it went to most of their junk mail boxes so there was a lot of follow up that time.

I hope I didn't discourage you from doing a website! That is not my intention - just sharing thoughts!!  Do you have something set up already.. there are options for free ones that actually look really good!!

Anyways... what are you doing for your STDs?   That is actually were I included my TA info and Resort info.  That way if anyone was ready to book they could.  We told everyone that is invited in April and sent STDs in July - so they had a little time to think about their trip.   I just had my first booking the other day YAY!!!

You didn't discourage me at all.I am absolutely still going to do a website. Just because I feel ike there will be some people who wll follow up and check it. Most of my people are not on Facebook so that probably won't work..

I'm picking a photo STD from snapfish. I dind't think to include my TA information. Actually that's a pretty bright idea seeing as how it might jump start the booking process. I like it!

I wish I thought my guest would use a website... I started one.. but didn't do much with it.. I hope it works out for you!!!!

Photo STDs are always cute!  I would definitely include your website on those and maybe even in your invites too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
