The only thing is it only comes in Ivory and I need a White dress b/c the FI has chosen his white suit (got it on sale at express) and i guess we kinda have to match. So I am going with Jasmine's Bridal to replicate it for me in white. I too, am not wearing a "beachy, destination" wedding dress. I figured...Go big or Go Home! I'm only doing this once and I'll never get to wear something like this again!!! But my girls are doing the beachy feel with convertible dresses and flat silver sandals. My flower girls, however, will be in the traditional white dress with the colored sash and my ring bearer's father has insisted "a true gentleman does not go casual for such an occasion", so my baby cousin will be in a grey vest and pants with white shirt and bow tie.

It's beautiful! My daughter is not doing the beachy dress either....I say go with whatever you love and look good in!

shots.gif After the day I've had I wish that were me!!!!!! Please excuse my rant but I've gotta talk to someone. I got a text from one of my BM early this AM saying she got bad news about her camp she's selling and she needed to talk to me but couldn't because she was crying too much. I wait ALL day for her to call me. Apparently when they did the inspection there's something wrong with the roof and in order to sell it she needs to fix it and it's going to deplete her savings.  Although I feel bad for her it's their summer camp not your permanent home and apparently she just found out today but it's also two days before the BM dress order goes through. I have no idea if she's going to come at all but regardless she's not a BM anymore.crybaby2.gif I had two dresses, 3 one style and 3 in another so I need to re-do the order because I want them to come out every other, not a problem but I also wanted an even number of BM (even in number and even to my FI).  On top of that I was talking to my Mom today and she let it slip that my sister is planning to come alone. Not the end of the world except for the fact that I already paid for her and her family entire stay at the resort. My sister and BIL have plenty of money but she was acting like this would be a financial burden so I paid for them to help and because I love them and her. Now she's coming alone??? I paid for 2 adults and 2 kids!!!!!! My mom said she's still not sure though. Um, well make up your mind so I can see if maybe I can get some money back. She didn't really want to bring my niece to Mexico because she'll only be 20 months and she thinks it'd be a pain to travel with her, what if she gets sick, blah blah. She also doesn't trust anyone (but the people that will be at the wedding to watch her). Therefore my BIL will be home with both kids, possibly anyway. I emailed her today to ask and got nothing back. mad.gif By the time the day was done I wanted to elope!!!!!!!!!!
Chica: Chant the Mantra F$@& em all! Call your Dear sister and ask her the deal. It's your right to know. Give her a deadline or you get your money back. You BM is being selfish as well ( shocking) because I'm sorry a BM dress isn't going to break anyone's bank and she should have had that money allotted already. I know it won't be " picture perfect" but better to have an uneven lineup than a drag. I don't understand ppl. I've made sure all my life to be considerate of people and I try my hardest to not screw ppl, but I've had to drill it in my head ( after a lot of therapy ) that my biggest mistake is expecting ppl to be like me. I feel you... My MOH came over last night to vent and get things off her chest. She's upset because she is purchasing the home of her dreams ALONE, mind you she can afford it plus some. While she vented I sat at the table decorating my STD envelopes and stuffing them. Not once did she offer to help . Nor have we discussed one thing of her role as MOH. She did mention that she has plenty of dresses in her closet that will work for MOH . Lololol. Sigh Woooosaaaaa

I'm not sure if it's wedding etiquette per say but I know it's very common. I've always had the jewelry given to me as a BM gift when I was in the wedding and will be buying my BM their necklaces and earrings as part of their gifts.

I feel like my sisters are more excited about going to Jamaica than the actual wedding! They are talking about buying an extra suitcase when they already each have 2 huge ones!

I'm like 'really?? I don't want you hanging around my entire wedding-moon!!!"

No problem for me that people are staying, because I fully intend to move to another resort! LOL

Seriously why are people so selfish????

I guess I'm overly conscious of others. Before I say yes to being in a wedding I'm make damn sure I can be there no matter what comes up and if my sister paid for me and my husband and I decided to come alone, I'd call her in tears because I'd feel so bad since she had been so generous. If someone is stuffing envelopes in front of me I offer to help.  I thought this was all common sense/courtesy???

I'm not a big yoga person but may need it through this journey!

Question: Is anyone skipping mailed-in paper RSVPs?

I'm doing online RSVP only, and I was told "that is SO improper." TO me: it saves trees, and both FI and I are tech nerds, so online is best for us. Our STD even has a QR code to scan that takes you to our website..lol

I put the dates I suggested people arrive and depart on our website but I have a few people staying a full week because they're turning it into their winter vacation. I'm okay with that though because 2 days after the wedding I'm flying to FL and going on a 12 day cruise.

My suggestion would be to switch resorts if you can

I would be totally fine with an online RSVP and I think most of my friends would be too...the only people that might not get it would be our parents but I already know they're coming (like I'm sure you know if yours are). I'm doing mail ins but don't see a problem with online only.

    • OMG these are incredible! Seriously blown away by the thoughtful detail you have put into every aspect of your gifts, your guests are going to be amazed! Props to you for adding so many personal touches and putting in so much time to make these gifts amazing!
    • These bags are amazing!! You are so organized and detailed, I am so impressed! I LOVE the Vistaprint stuff you ordered, the logo is so cute, I love your personalization!
    • I love etsy!! It's a great place to find personalized gifts without such a hefty price tag. I was thinking of getting my bridesmaids personalized necklaces with their names on them. I found these ones that are affordable and you can pick the chain length and different fonts, so you can really make them your own and pick what you know each bridesmaid will want. https://www.etsy.com/listing/595334072/personalized-name-necklace-stainless?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=personalized necklace&ref=sc_gallery-3-9&plkey=a8662525c53ec285c1b46b0f308162d0591edff8:595334072
    • Hi everyone, I am so happy that I am getting married to the love of my life. He proposed me and we are getting married within in a couple of months. And I have started preparations for my big day. I am super excited about a lot of things and also worried about many things.I have some inhibitions about my face and skin. Since I am a working woman, I have never got much time for personal care. This is the right time for it now. I need  proper medical grade skin care. Want to improve my skin tone and texture  I read some details about it here, https://www.mcleanclinic.com/nonsurgical-procedures/non-surgical/skin-care/, and found it really helpful. Can anyone of you suggest me some more tips? Like what I can do at home to have a glow on my face?  Thanks in advance.
    • I think you should approach the dentist. That would be the best idea as of now.
