I think I may have mentioned this, but I have a good friend who has an arts degree/graphic design background who also used to own a card business. She is designing our wedding suite. We worked on a first draft last night (and by 'we', I mean 'her', LOL) but we will have to make some tweaks.  I really like it, but my mom doesn't like the oil painting effects we used over the background (don't care, because I like it and won't change it too much unless FH doesn't like it).  However, the font is hard to read, which we definitely need to fix.

Hey ladies. What are you all doing for flowers..bridal bouquets and for those of you having bridal parties..what are you doing for the girls/guys. The prices at my resort for flowers seem so outrageous. Im thinking of doing real touch. They look so real and a lot more cost effective

This will probably be ridiculously expensive but a mix of debdrobium orchids, callas and/or hyacinths in bright tropical colors (thinking orange, fuschia, yellow)

If I go with Secrets, their included bouquet is just daisies and carnations - can you believe that??? It's the Caribbean and you can't even throw in a simple orchid or a cheaper tropical flower?

It's like they force you to upgrade the bouquet....

So I decided that my favors would be mini bottles of mamajuana since it's in DR. I bought the bottles empty, my dad will either make or we'll just ask the bartenders at the resort to fill up the bottles, their mamajuana is the best!!! But I need ideas for the labels now! UGH!

that's a cute idea but the airport security made us throw it out when we were on our way home. it was in our checked luggage and they wouldn't let us bring it

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
