Hey - not sure who you are responding too so in case it is me - I have my first convo with my WC this week - I have a lot of questions for her!  I hope to be able to make some more decisions after I get a better feel of how everything goes on the wedding day.

I think smaller is better for lots of reason...less stressful in the way that hopefully it is less drama amongst less personalities :)

One of my ceremony location options is a gazebo --- I might end up there.. wont pick til I get to the resort and see all the options

Oh Thank you!!  I only had to make 12 THANKFULLY !!!   They got a little intense but I do think they were worth it.  I am trying to work on invites now - can't come up with a solid idea yet though.

How is all your planning going?

You are ao creative! Mine is going ok. We sent out our save the dates. They were just magnets from vistaprint bc we didn't want anyone to lose them. I found my dress last weekend that was fun :) We're getting married in the Dominican Rep in May. Looking for a photographer right now and like you, thinkiabout invitations. If you don't mind me asking, how did you ship and around how much was the cost of shipping your save the dates? I saw a cute idea of message in a bottle invitation. You inspired me to maybe do something more exciting for invitations. Happy planning and thanks for sharing your ideas.

I haven't even though about how I am going to move all of my stuff around. Plus I plan to go on my honeymoon afterwards... so I'll likely have to send my stuff back with family. Which could be tricky. I'm just invisioning things getting stuck and lost in customs.... Speaking of customs, how are you guys transporting the stuff in the OOT bags. I think I might have read about there being limits on the number of things you can bring, and declaring it beforehand... that's just annoying. So I've been on this website for today and i learned two things. Thing 1: I'm not using real flowers for my wedding. i just disovered real touch silk flowers and they look like the real thing. Since I receive a free bouquet... everyone else is getting silk flowers. Thing 2: I think I want to create some pomanders to decorate the ceremony space. I'm totally not the DIY type... but I look at pictures and I get sooooooooo excited! IDK if I could actually do it. but I wanna try.
I've been looking at real touch flowers too. Do you know if real touch, true touch, natural touch and silk are all the same? I've seen the true touch at hobby lobby and it looks and feels real, but they only had roses and I was hoping for peonies or something other than roses. I see a lot of silk flowers online. Wondering if silk looks and feels real like the RT Which website or where do you think you'll get the RT flowers from? Thank you.

Oh Exciting - sounds like your planning is going really well!!     I haven't done much of anything besides my STDs and buy things for my Welcome Bags and other gifts for my guest!

They were about $3 each to send - I am in MA and had to send them to MA, MD, CO, NH, & CT.   I sent via USPS

Good luck with your Invites - I hope you do MIB those are really cute!  I am doing those as part of my favors.   Make sure you post pictures :)

Thanks for letting me know about cost. That's pretty good. I mean Invities usually cost more than regular mail to sen anyway. Now, key word is IF I do the MIB, then I will post pics! Hehe. Other than that I have to google search ideas on how-to. haha. I'm not as crafty as you ladies. The other invite I was thinking of is just the boarding pass idea that a lot of other DW brides have done. We'll see which one my fiance agrees with, too. For favors, we're doing luggage tags which will double as escort cards. I found some at michael's and with the coupon, it makes it less expensive :) Thanks again for sharind ideas!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
