So you just a got a quote? I didn't realize you don't need to do a room block. And people actually booked in the 2 weeks?

My FI and I have done a lot of traveling on our own and have never used a TA so I'm so confused whether or not we should use one or do a room block or let everyone book on their own.

We're only a group of 22 and my FI thinks everyone is savvy enough to book own their own whether using their own TA, expedia, cheapcaribbean etc. and that he will handle any questions his parents and friends have ...

I posted this on a separate thread but thought someone might actually respond on here! LOL I found the cutest little veil/fascinator on Pinterest a couple of weeks ago. However, I can't seem to find any place that is actually selling it. Does anyone have any ideas on where I could buy this, something like it, or even make it?

We are using a TA, but did not have to block rooms. She used something called group-ease with Apple vacations. When we booked our trip and paid the deposit she got a PIN number that she can apply to each reservation that gives a discount. We also get a free room for each 6 rooms booked, I believe ( I think that may be thru the resort, not Apple) We only had to put a deposit down on our room. Guests book and put their own deposit down and have until Sept. 1, 2014 to make payments. I didn't want to put out the money for guest rooms....I figure that if they really want to go they have a year to make payments!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
