I have a website which I want people to use more so I dont want to repeat all the same info (I have sections  for "resort info", "travel info", "things to do in Jamaica" etc. (or should I repeat??)

We don't have a set day or time for the welcome cocktail reception nor know when to plan a group excursion which makes me reluctant to put an "itinerary" in writing in the formal invitation. I have it all TBD on the site.

So far, I just the basic we invite you to ... date...location ...rsvp by ...

I have all of the travel information on my website too but people were still asking questions, how to book the resort, the cost, etc so I ended up including an insert in our invitations that I copied and pasted from my website.  That page cost $1.50/invitation which I think is ridiculous.  If people still can't figure it out I'm not sure what to do for them haha.

Other than that I have the standard information (Time, Date, Place, RSVP postcard) and I also included dress code because people were asking already

I'm WAY behind too!  10 months to go - no dress, save the dates are not out yet.

The only thing we've done is booked the venue, guest list made and wedding website made.  Hoping to get the STDs out within a week and book our photographer and hair/makeup within the next week.  I've been dress shopping twice and have two appointments next week but still no luck!

All that being said, the family drama sure has started!!!

Has anyone heard of or used a good videographer in Punta Cana? I am not sure about Antillana which is the company for RIU Palace Punta Cana since they have no examples for me to see before hand.  I just don't want to end up with a bad video of my wedding day, I am willing to pay a little more to get a nice and professional looking video NOT a slideshow of pictures.  Any help would be great!

I might be the only one who doesn't really care if my guests stay as long as me. I can't exactly ask people to pay to go, take time off of their job and say "umm hey so you know...it's also our honeymoon" my Hispanic family would be deeply offended. But again, maybe it doesn't bother me as much because we've already planned for a delayed honeymoon later on and I sold this DW as a huge family vacation anyway.
I feel just as you do. I don't care where they stay. I understand it cab be expensive to where we are. But I did infact let tgem know tgat they are to stay wherever tgey like but that if they stayed off resort what day pass to come to our resort would be. On my actual imvitations I provided my TA name, phone# and email as well as it says sandals whitehouse is all inclusive resort. Ifbyou choose other accommodations, day passes of $135 are requiree

You will get there. Oh and family drama... you can look for that well until ????? Hmmm let me think. 10 years after your wedding. Hahaha. You will not be able to satisfy everyone.

I wish people were understanding. Our parents decided to just stay 3 or 4 nights because they were considerate of about the honeymoon but the friends are selfish
Hellll to the nawwwww!!!!! Lol. What you need to do is explain to fiancee friend that you appreciate his willingness to be there to be supportive but this is not a spring break vacation event. This is your day. Your time. Your wedding week.and if he's a true friend he'll understand.and hubby to be should understand as well. Lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
