Good morning ladies. I'm trying to read and catch up on my phone which sucks. I've been to busy having fun in DC at the Beyonce concert to think about weddings. Now I'm ready to jump back in 😄

I'm doing online RSVP only, and I was told "that is SO improper." TO me: it saves trees, and both FI and I are tech nerds, so online is best for us. Our STD even has a QR code to scan that takes you to our website..lol

Yep! If they don't feel comfortable with computers, they can call.  I'm using this website/app that allows you to RSVP:

3261654b38f4f0fd_VW351172_CAT_VW_13F.larger.jpgHere's the dress I fell in love. White by Vera Wang, like an idiot I didn't take a picture in it. but it fit me so nice and i'm only 5 feet! The only thing is it only comes in Ivory and I need a White dress b/c the FI has chosen his white suit (got it on sale at express) and i guess we kinda have to match. So I am going with Jasmine's Bridal to replicate it for me in white. I too, am not wearing a "beachy, destination" wedding dress. I figured...Go big or Go Home! I'm only doing this once and I'll never get to wear something like this again!!! But my girls are doing the beachy feel with convertible dresses and flat silver sandals. My flower girls, however, will be in the traditional white dress with the colored sash and my ring bearer's father has insisted "a true gentleman does not go casual for such an occasion", so my baby cousin will be in a grey vest and pants with white shirt and bow tie.
Love it very pretty! My flower girl is wearing traditional too it had ruffles and the coral sash so cute..I saw the cutest linen suit with vest for my ring bearer and hat..FI says too hot but this is what I want. .I want the guys to wear the same I think

Seriously why are people so selfish???? I guess I'm overly conscious of others. Before I say yes to being in a wedding I'm make damn sure I can be there no matter what comes up and if my sister paid for me and my husband and I decided to come alone, I'd call her in tears because I'd feel so bad since she had been so generous. If someone is stuffing envelopes in front of me I offer to help.  I thought this was all common sense/courtesy??? I'm not a big yoga person but may need it through this journey!
I agree it's common sense/courtesy. I would do the same.

How is everyone handling how long people stay? I love that people are willing to come so far to my wedding and make a vacation out of it but how do I politely tell them that this is still our honeymoon too?   I feel like my sisters are more excited about going to Jamaica than the actual wedding! They are talking about buying an extra suitcase when they already each have 2 huge ones! I'm like 'really?? I don't want you hanging around my entire wedding-moon!!!"
My wedding is on a Friday so most guests are saying they are staying until Monday coming thursday. So im not sure how I would handle. My cousins husband did express wanting to stay for a week but she told him no already because it would be our honeymoon. Hopefully all guests will respect that if not.our resort is large enough for a few to remain wouldn't bother me. How long are your sister's planning on staying?

Good news all around! Glad things are working out for you! We are at the beginning of planning and it seems a little overwhelming....I thought this would be much easier than planning an at home wedding, but now I realize a DW has it's own challenges! Oh, well, I guess nothing good is easy!

I'm getting overwhelmed knowing that it's only ten months away now!! Ahhhh lol I gotta start printing my invites (not sending until Nov) and we are going bridesmaid dress shopping at the end of Sept. Than I pretty much sit around waiting until I know who is all coming to the wedding and than its crunch time with ordering things! The waiting is the hard part lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
