It's a fit and flare trumpet style with ruching(?) in the middle. It's very simple so I added a belt which totally makes the dress. I feel beautiful and it's comfortable and I CANNOT wait to wear it!

My BM are wearing dresses by Bill Levkoff. There are two styles (links below)

http://www.billlevkoff.com/style/bridesmaid-dress/325

The groomsmen are wearing light tan pants with a white button down and a pastel pink tie. MY FI is wearing the same thing but with a jacket (so a suit) and dress shoes

I don't have a flower girl or ring bearer but would dress them in normal wedding attire as well

Some people want a real beachy feel and that's awesome and great, I'm just not one of them I want a more formal feeling

Love those BM dresses! Mind if I ask how much you paid for them? It's hard for me to get to one of the stores.

Thank you!!! The dresses are $228 but my BM got a discount because we got them at the same place as I bought my dress so they ended up paying $200 each with free shipping if they didn't live locally.

I was worried that would be too much money but all of my BM were fine with it.  I know I've always paid $200-$300 for every wedding I've been in but I also didn't have to fly to Mexico. Luckily my BM (with the exception of my FSIL) just see this as a vacation where they get to see someone they live get married.

That's how my BM feel too! Thankfully, haha. I only have 2, and my sister is my MOH, so I want to buy the dresses for them. These might be a little high, but they really are lovely. I'm adding them to my "must check out" list :)

This is why I wish I had a smaller wedding party so I could do more for them!!!

If you're buying them they may be a little pricey I'm sure you could get something similar for cheaper. I didn't even really look. I loved them they tried them on and they loved them and that was that.  I had 6 until yesterday, now I'm down to 5 and there's just no way I could afford 5 of them or 5 of anything really haha.

So I think I am cheating myself out of post counts but this multi post thing sure does make it easier when you have 10,000 post to get through HAHA

Cheaply works out well...lol

I have no idea what I am going to do for invites... my goal is to send those out in October so I have a couple of months to make them..... Once I get the STDs in the mail I will be able to start brainstorming invite ideas  . . . .   I think they have to be something special now or it will just be a let down! hahah

So I found out my wedding package includes a private rehearsal dinner for 20 people. I originally was going to reserve a spot at the japanese restaurant for 24 people but Im thinking maybe I should take advantage of the free rehearsal dinner with a set menu and do the japanese restaurant another night with the people that won't be at the rehearsal dinner (since it would only be immediate family and the bridal party)

What do you girls think?

Umm did you say INCLUDED - Heck yes you should do it : )    One of the things I get included is a cocktail and app receptions for us and 6 guest... I can pay for extra people but I am going to use that as a nice mini party with us and our parents (his are married to each other by mine are both remarried so there are 6 Parents)  Take all the inclusions you can get!!!

He actually sat with me last night to go over details! We looked at photographers, figured out an invitation design and picked out our colors! Cutest moment was when I asked "what should our colors be?" He looks at me with the most perplexed serious face "we have to pick out colors???" I start cracking up and he goes "I'm sorry!! I had no idea! Really! I don't know these things!!"

Luckily I don't mind if he doesn't care about colors, flowers or invites but he actually gave a lot of input which i'm happy about.

I love bright colors so was thinking along the lines of fuschia or coral but they are "too pink" for him. He wants blue and I half jokingly said "and orange?" Half joking because blue and orange are the Mets team colors and we are die-hard baseball and Mets fan. But I do also love orange cause it's so bright.

I google inspiration boards for him (and again he was like "whoa, what are inspiration boards?" lol) and we decided to do lighter shades of blue and orange to fit the tropical destination ... so to be fancy we're calling it "teal and tangerine" lol

That is awesome you got some Wedding Talk Time!!   Love the colors - I really like the hint of dark purply red color in the bottom right hand pic... I think it adds "just the touch" Not sure if you are thinking of an accent color but if you do...    hehehe

Those with wedding party what are girls wearing? Short/long dresses? Casual? Haven't picked yet but we've been trying both long and short chiffon.

are your guys wearing? Full jacket and ties? Button ups? Etc.etc?
We can't decide. Thinking of linen suits but just vest not suit jacket. Maybe just the linen pants and a linen shirt. Oy..just don't no. FI is worried about being hot he is always hot. Guys wearing shoes? Mine are gonna have too he refuses to go barefoot?

What about flower girls/ring bearer?

I have NO Idea what I am wearing... I saw a dress online I really like... if I end up with that I wouldn't really call it a beach dress - as long as I don't end up in something heavy and non breathable - I'm good : )

I plan on doing barefoot sandals for the ceremony and wedges for the after dinner/dancing/party - until I go barefoot again from dancing HAHA

No wedding party

Not sure about the Mr.   he keeps changing his mind.. it will for sure be beige linen pants and a white shirt... he has mentioned doing a jacket... no jacket... a vest...  and probably something else hahaha - He will wear shoes I'm sure .... he hates being barefoot in public (even on the beach)

No kids

Kimberly isn't that hard but people do ALWAYS chop it to Kim unless you're me...one of my closest friends goes by Kim and I always call her Kimberly, gets her attention quicker haha

HAha well you're one of the few!!!     I don't know why people do this with Kimberly - names like Jessica and Jennifer are the same type of name and I never hear people automatically call them Jess and Jen ....  I just like Kimberly better - why is that so hard doh.gif HAHAHA

Apparently 3 syllables is okay if your name starts with a J but not with a K???

The first type of box I was going to use didn't work out... I found these today - This is how I am sending them out - The boxes will get wrapped and labeled - (will post when I get to that part).

Scent packets to get the Tropical Vibe going on. . .

I stamped the inside of the box top...  awww heehe

I had to get two styles of boxes as they only had half as many in each style then I needed... both are cute!

(sorry the pics suck... my phone apparently takes bad photos in this light)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
