Dear guest

Hahahah

Dude you guys are my stress release. We are going on a 5 hour car ride at 5 am to Ameila island near Jacksonville . FI has a seminar for the weekend. Ill be laying on beach while he hangs with the stuffy ties.

He's so trapped. I have him for 5 hours in the car to get him to commit to wedding stuff. Wooohooooo. Lol. No sports to distract him either.

That's the best letter ever!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!! That is crazy, great ideas though!  My guests are going to be lucky if they get a tumbler with some stuff in it and a note. The note is easy enough but between the $$ and getting the stuff down there I don't know how I could possible bring that much.

All that for 60 people and clothes for me and my FI for 3 weeks. I'd need 9 suitcases hahahaha.

Are you shipping everything to your resort or bringing it with you?  The logistics of getting stuff down there is really my biggest hurdle.

So in case some of you were not aware. You can go on to American Airlines website and contact their group rates department for a 5% discount for your guests.

It will actually say weddings . You fill out the form with all your info and after a coiple of days they send you a agreement. Your not legally bound to anything but the cool thing is after about 10 ppl book you can get a free ticket for yourself .

They also send you inserts to put in your invitations with the discount code.

Thought I'd share

That's such a good tip, thank you! Although I already booked my airfare through Delta to Mexico, JetBlue from Mexico to FL. Still need to book the FL flight home after our cruise.  Luckily even with a 5% discount American was still $100+ more one way so that makes me feel better!

As a flight attendant, what are your thoughts on brides and their dresses??? I was told not fly JetBlue, SW, etc down because there is no 1st class closet and I'll want to hang my dress if possible and those carriers don't have a first class or closet. I thought about buying a 1st class ticket but it was going to be like $600 one way.  It would've been cheaper to buy a seat for my dress which I seriously considered but didn't do it in the end, I think my FI thought I was out of mind.  I agree it's a little crazy but I want my dress there in one piece unwrinkled. On the way home is another story, it's getting shoved into a suitcase and given to my Mom to preserve while I'm on my honeymoon woot.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
