So in my madness to save money I've thought of all the things I don't really care about and I've decided to have a faux cake. It's pretty cool. You buy these styrofoam pieces and the bakery decorates that. I plan on having desserts, and cupcakes/ sweets table. It's cheaper than paying 4-6 bucks a person. Lol. Don't judge me. Ill spend my money elsewhere . ;)
Forgot the darn link http://www.sugarcraft.com/catalog/wedding/Wfakecakes.htm#misc

Found this Quote. Thought it was purrrrrfect . Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -

This is great, thank you! I was looking for some templates for basic signage for place cards and some other small items and even though I'm not great at DIY stuff I'm sure I can handle these with a template!

I've seen these done and they look great!!!! We all have stuff that is important to each of us. Mine was my dress, I ended paying below budget but when I told people my dress budget they thought I was from another planet.

Although I upgraded my cake at the resort I know people won't really eat it, they never do, I just did it for the pictures haha.  I think you're smart, if we were doing it here that was something we had talked about.

Yeah , since our wedding is actually at a restaurant off- property we would be paying for the local bakery. So I guess I'll see if I can take the pieces down and ill pay them to decorate it. :D I haven't even wanted to think of my dress. I've gained weight recently and I just don't wanna go there. I'd like to squeeze lipo into my budget.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
