Hello,

Thank you for this info. We decided on a small boutique hotel in the heart of playa, they have given us great quotes and our guests can choose between all inclusive or not.

Our  budget is $7,000. The package at our resort includes the video and the pictures and all the bouquets, ceremony, reception, cocktail hour and lots of extras etc and is $3,000. My dress was $750 and our STD came out to $110 with shipping and everything. Our DJ is $850 and WC free. Were just going to go as a group to a restaurant as a welcome dinner and eat for free since it's all inclusive.

We're having around 50.  When I did our budget I included our stay, travel and honeymoon so it's about $23K, excluding that stuff it's about $18K which also includes my dress, flowers, favors, wedding party gifts, and rings, etc.

I figured people could reuse them for groceries later on. They're actually spacious inside but the only headache is that if you apply the iron directly on the bag, it melts. So a fellow bride gave me the tip of using a towel on top. I've been trying to get a Dominican remedy called "rapidita/hangover helper" for my oh shit kit and adding a bottle of Mamajuana saying "drink on!" LOL

Those look like nice bags.... I am (of course) having a bad dilemma!  I purchased ones @ Christmas Tree Shop.. really nice huge canvas bags with a zipper for about 4 bucks a piece.  I just recently was looking at items for sale from other brides on here and someone was selling bags that looked almost identical to the once I already had.  She was asking $ 1 each and with shipping they were about 2 bucks a bag.  I thought for sure I would just return the ones to CTS but the bags are a little different and I don't know which ones I like better.

The second set I got are the same length but not as tall and do not have a zipper, which I like about them.   I kinda of like that the second ones are smaller because that might more of a size that people would use again.  I don't think I will have a hard time getting all my stuff into either of them.  So I'm stuck (sorry for the rant) haha

Good tip about the transfers!   I already bought the stuff to do a stencil BUT I'm scared to do anything to them (and of course I need to pick a bag first *sigh*)

AND

I love your hangover helper and Mamajuana!  Super cute.  I wanted to add alka seltzer day after remedy... but they don't seem to make it anymore.  I did find this stuff on amazon called Drinkin Mate. It has mixed reviews but I think I will end up getting it because it's cute.  I didn't think to add alcohol with it, but I love the idea!

I've tried the rapidita and it works wonders! They sell it in the grocery stores or bodegas I should say. Great Idea, I'm borrowing it ha ha

Good Luck on finishing girl!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
