Your right. I saw their work before its phenomenal was sad when saw where they were no where near my location. Almost wanted to change locations based on how beautiful they made things look. Will you be using them?

They are definitely one of my top contenders!  We will see who is available and who I can afford after we secure a venue!

Oh.okay. I have to decide on my photography too.

When I was talking to wedding planners here in the U.S., they really emphasized the importance of bringing in an outside photographer. I'm not sure if you're going with a resort or not, but they said that every bride that used a resort photographer tends to be really disappointed.  Each planner suggested flying in your own photographer that you feel comfortable with.  I get the sense that there are proportionately more good wedding photographers in Mexico compared to some of the Caribbean islands, but I'm sure you can find someone down there that is great if you do your research.  Who are you thinking about using?

Your right because my resort photographers have the worst review and are pricey too on top of that. I was looking into tropical imaging aka brilliant. They have great reviews. However my resort also does not allow outside vendors which sucks. But I saw on the boards that there were a couple of brides who were able to use them by paying for them as guest. Illena went solo from them i contacted her for a quote Just yesterday however I saw on the board that the resort has now contracted her .BUT they charge way more than she did on her own..

Have you ladies gotten dresses yet?

I got my dress Sunday, I can't wait to wear it!!! When I ordered it they told me it could take up to 6 months to ship and they like 4 months for alterations but if they only had 2 for mine it'd be okay. They called me yesterday though and luckily my dress is shipping from the designer Sept 30 so I'll have about 4 months for my alterations!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
