I am just so scared that the dress will be too big or too small. I guess I would rather it fit too big because there is some fix that could be made! This is so stressful! Sometimes I tell my fiance that we should have just eloped so we did not have to go through all this! lol but deep down we want our wedding so it is what it is.

Girl I hear ya! (* waves hands in air dramatically * lOL). My hubby to be has said "elope?" in texts several times now hahaha, but it shall all be worth it on the big day. Being with family, partying, and marrying the person of your dreams, its alllll good!

Do you have a plan for your leaning down process? I am a fitness lover and hope to incorporate this passion into my work someday. If you wanted to chat about anything let me know, i'd be happy to help :)

I can diet and be very constant and determined about it, I can put my mind into it and go to the gym 4-5 times a week.... So I know that I will be good to go when my big day comes (since its over a year away). I am just afraid of buying a dress and then i am much smaller than that day. I am guessing many brides have fears about dresses and their sizes. Too big, too small....

I'm going to look at dresses in the end of July (having a June wedding next year) and they said if I order than I won't have the dress until December....I'm pretty much to the weight I want to be, trying to lose the last 10lbs so it shouldn't be that bad for alterations but still hate having to worry about not gaining an ounce over the holidays!! Eloping sounds so nice sometimes LOL but I won't. I do kickboxing 2 times a week and than cardio and weight training 3-4 times a week. Sometimes we skip the gym and just go on a long hike.

haha yes eloping sounds great and affordable right about now. But we are in it an this point so there is no going back. I bet those kickboxing classes are a great way to release the wedding stress! I should look into something like that

You have no idea, I look forward to those classes! I wish my gym offered them more times a week LOL. But they're great for toning and stress relief

I am about to get started on my fitness plan/life change.  I gained weight in the last 2 years due to major job stress so i'm trying to get myself back into my healthy routine.  I started yoga to help with my core, flexibility, and stress management. Then i'm introducing Zumba in the next 2 weeks.  I'm trying to work my way back to doing Insanity which is nuts but I liked.  lol.  I have a rough road but I'm determined to lose the weight I put on in the next year.

Good luck to us all on being where we want to be on the big day.

Good for you jandl2013 - hoping you see some changes for yourself, most importantly from the mental perspective, and then the body stuff seems to follow suit :) I need to go visit the threads about fitness and lifestyle, I can talk about this stuff all day :)

You can do it!! just think about how great that dress is going to look on that wonderful day any time you feel discouraged. It will keep you motivated!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
