It's so funny every time we post we are always talking about drinks or drinking! It seems like our trademark! cool.gif Maybe I should start a thread where we share our favorite drinks. What do you like?

As for my alcohol relate portion of my post, do you like pina coladas? If so, I know a drink you might like! cheers.gif

Inferring from the rest of your post, I am guessing that both you and your FH both work for the gov't, which would explain your degree and why you said your job is crazy. My FH works for the gov't so that's why I'm moving to his city.

Red and purple. That IS fierce! Love it! I can picture it now.

Well, you've actually been looking at my colors and theme this whole time (rather subliminally). My theme and colors are basically my profile pic. It caught my eye. I love how vibrant it is! msnparty.gif

I'm going to school for Global Business and Public policy...I was out of class this past semester, but it's time to get back on track!

Oh I know it would have been worse had I moved then we came to that realization, but I do wish I hadn't spent so much time and money renovating at this time.  I could have taken my time and renovated over time instead of rushing to finish to rent it out.  But c'est la vie!  It's done now.  My FH technically has a better job than I do, but I make more and mine isn't a contract position.  We just wanted to do what made more sense for space purposes, etc.  We're going to look for another home in the next 2+ years.

My colors are red and purple...theme is kind of evolving.  How about you?

shots.gif  LMAO!!!  I talk about drinking more than I actually do drink!  I always feel like I should have a drink after work, but a majority of the time I won't actually have one but then when I do decide I want one I will have one or two drinks 2 or 3 days in a row then nothing again for a while.

I like anything that is sweet like a strawberry daiquiri or strawberry margarita.  I've had a good pina colada, but that usually isn't my first choice.  I love amaretto sours and wine like pinot grigio, moscato, reisling...i'm sure you're seeing a sweet theme here.  I also like rum or hennessey with coke (one of my dad's favorites being a Jamaican...lol)

My FH is with a gov't contract but i'm an accountant at a large company (CRAZY CRAZY).  My degree is what i'm navigating towards because i'm tired of my crazy job...lol.  I need a HUGE change.

I'm glad you like my colors..i'm still trying to determine the right shades of red and purple so neither color is overpowering.  I love both colors and I have a definite scheme in mind, but I just don't want it to be too dark. Your colors are hot...very vibrant and Caribbean!

I talk about drinking more than I do too. But, here is a thread created for those times you want a nice refreshing beverage. lol http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/86061/whats-your-favorite-alcoholic-beverage

Well, the upside of being an accountant is knowing that your budget will be on point :) Since you don't want to be an accountant anymore, what are you hoping to secure with your new degree?

So, are you thinking about doing a bright color for one and a mute color for the other? Or maybe a neutral shade for both?

Yes, I'm glad that's what my colors convey. pinkie.gif

Many charities nowadays will do that for you- give you a nice little card to give to your guests that makes note of your contribution.

Just an idea!

Great idea girl!!

So totally need some advice confused.gif I am having my bridesmaid in a sangria color dress and their bouquets will be white roses, white gerber daisies, and green orchids (with the sangria center). Now I'm going to have pomader's on the sheperds hooks going down the aisle and chair covers with sash's. What color should I do the pomaders and what color should I do the sash's??? I was thinking of having 6 pomaders (3 on each side) and than use them as my centerpieces at the reception on top of tall vases. One higher than the other and fill the vases with sand and a starfish (white). Now I can't decided if I prefer a table runner or a table cloth.....if I do a table runner do I match it to the chair sash's??!! HELP shots.gif

I am a HUGE fan of bright colours. What if you did the pomaders the sangria colour, with white mixed in, and the chair sashes green? Then you can do the table runner a green, and it pulls it from the sashes, up to the table, and then up to the pomaders in the vases?

I'm a huge fan of brights too.

I love love love Jenny's idea. If you are seeking pop, then you should definitely go with her idea.

But, if you want your reception to be more neutral, then I think you should do green and white pomaders and sangria table runner and sash. So, I think it's more about what kind of vibe you are seeking to create!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
