Hi all I'm a newbie here, so excited to get my planning started. We have our hearts set on late May 2014. We're from England but would really love to get married in Mexico, ideally the Beach Palace. Any tips and pointers welcome Congratulations to you all X

Congrats! When's your date?

Yay some more April 2014 brides. I thought I was crazy for planning this early. I am not happy though. I am such a worry wart but also impatient so we have sent save the dates out but we can't seem to get rates until possibly March. i don't like that. I mean since it is a wedding can't they just make up the rates for us so our people can start booking? For this reason alone I am thinking about switching properties but is that being to hasty?

Yup, we know it'll be April 12, 2014 in Punta Cana and have picked the resort....Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe. I hear the white sand in Cancun is gorgeous. I'm shooting for getting STDs out a year in advance too, and plan to get a TA very soon! I haven't been to many islands or resorts so I'm no good for giving recommendations except to say that if you do it in Punta Cana make sure the resort's on Bavaro Beach. Happy planning!

I feel so disappointed I thought I was on a roll with getting started on planning my July 2014 wedding at the Gran Caribe/Royal and then I got a quote for the rooms. The prices are so expensive and I refuse to haven guests pay $2-3,000 for flight and hotel. Now I feel like I'm back in square one and I have to find another resort that's more budget friendly. :(

Lori,

Have you tried contact TA Wendy?  She can give you some group rates.

July 2014 vow renewal bride here!!! I have been planning for over a year now. I first planned on a cruise wedding, then it was thought that to make our guests take a whole week off of work, plus the cost of the cruise plus everything they would need to spend there would be too much to ask sooooo, we have changed to an all inclusive wedding staying a few days extra for ourselves. Now to find the right place. I found one I loved then saw that many guests have had stomach problems there. Ugh. I have no idea what I am doing now. Some of the AI resorts are very expensive.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
