My invites are out, and I can't wait any longer to share them!! Our colors are light blue (bluebell) and orange (papaya).

I went a semi-DIY route, meaning I had a graphic designer who did the invite & RSVP for me (based on a design I saw from another bride here at BDW), then printed using 123print.com. I used the linen-type paper, and they came out amazing!!!

I then did a quickie design for an insert with our website, and a perforated tear-off for the welcome dinner RSVP, both in word.

I wrapped the inside stuff in a strip of handmade Japanese paper, secured with a square of craft paper with the sand dollar on it (Martha Stuart punch), and then tied orange & white twine around the bundle.

The orange (papaya) invite envelopes are from a local paper store (Paper Source also carries them though).

I made the envelope liners myself using this tutorial. I used text-weight paper from the same paper store (Paper Source carries it too), and stamped them with a $1 starfish stamp I found at Michaels (because apparently EVERYTHING having to do with my wedding has to have a starfish - hahahaha).

I used the white envelopes that came with the RSVPs (due to the size I wanted for the RSVP, the envelopes were free).

I used avery address labels for all of the address labels - the guest & RSVP labels are the 4x2" ones, and the return address on the invite is the smaller one that comes 30/sheet. I used the clear labels for all of them.

My designer did an envelope seal for us to seal the whole thing off. WHEW. So here's the good stuff - the pics. And honestly, I don't think these pictures do them justice. They are so pretty, elegant, yet total beachy feel. Just what we were going for.

Here's the invite:

700

The RSVP (front):

700

The RSVP (back):

700

The pieces:

700

And all assembled:

The envelope seal:

Thanks for looking!

These are gorgeous! Was the graphic designer expensive? I feel like I am like you, semi-DIY, and definitely know the designing piece is something I cannot do.

How long did it take to all put together?

Fabulous job! You are truly an inspiration to us future brides who have yet to complete invitations! : )

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
