Best strapless bra to go under wedding dress?

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

What's the best bra to wear under a strapless wedding dress, particularly if you are petite and want a little boost?  I'm looking for something that will bring my 32B to a C-cup or so, and (most importantly!!) will stay put all night through the dancing and hugging and jumping up and down.  I'm considering the Victoria's Secret Biofit as well as The Little Bra Company's Sascha — anyone have experience with either, or other recommendations?

Are you having your dress altered? If so, it might be worth it to have them add gel cups to the dress itself. They were pretty inexpensive for me (compared to all of the other alterations...), and added a nice cup size. I got a regular long-line strapless bra from David's, am adding the cups, and they are going to stitch the bra into the dress (to be sure the cups don't peek out over the neckline of the dress. I'm a big girl, and needed the extra control of the bra to help my dress contain some curves - but I'd bet many petite girls really wouldn't need the bra at all, especially if you go the gel cup route.

I have the total opposite problem of you (I wear a 34DD), but I also am adding cups to my dress. Its going to be a heck of a lot more comfortable than a bra, AND you don't need to worry about it moving around! I think my seamstress is charging an extra $20? I know they can add gel push up cups as well. Just ask. :)

I had this exact problem! I spent hours on the computer researching the right bra etc and found a great blog post that I wanted to share with you.

It has something for everything, so if you are small busted or large, they have some really great advice :) I went for the Calvin Klein bra in the end, and have tested it out quite a lot and it is perfect :)

Hope this helps you gals as it helped me :)

I had a "stick on" bra for a certain shirt I own which is great stays here you want it and you can place you boobs where you want them to stay before sticking them on. I got mine from la senza in Canada but I'm sure Victoria Secret carries them as well.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
