Boarding pass invitations with luggage tag RSVP's

Recommended Posts

Ok, this was my first big DIY project, and I'm really not crafty.  Fortunately, my fiance has a friend who is a graphic designer and works for a printer, so I gave him the design I wanted and he took care of the actual boarding pass itself.  The rest of it was all me.  Our colors are Tiffany Blue and Coral.  The colors in the photos may not look exact, since I took them with my iPhone.

Card stock, envelopes, etc: I actually used cover stock from paperpresentation.com instead of card stock.  I wanted nice, heavy paper for the boarding pass sleeves.  Their paper quality was great and we were lucky enough that they had both of our colors in everything that we needed.  The only thing I can caution though, is that the cover stock is quite heavy.  My old printer wouldn't feed it through, so we bought a new printer (we needed one anyways), and that still would not work.  I ended up having to have it printed at Office Depot.

Aww. How awesome!!.  Surely that will be enough!.  I know your guests will love all the hard work you put into those invites!

I lucked up on stamps as my company was going to throw out a ton of forever stamps.. All I had to do was cut them off of envelopes, it may not look very neat, but hey, who can complain with free?..

I'm taking my test DIY passport invite and RSVP postcard to my fiance this weekend. Fingers crossed he approves so I can start printing them up next week. :o)

wow...you really lucked out with the stamps.  We're sending out 87 invitations.  Between the postage for the invite itself and for the RSVP, not to mention the save the dates that we sent out a few months ago, we've spent a small fortune on stamps.

Oh my! I can only imagine!.. To be honest, I don't even know how much stamps cost!.. And I hope I don't have to find out.. lol.. For our RSVP's I was going to include a stamp, but now I have decided against it.. I figured most people will RSVP through our website and I hated to waste stamps if people weren't going to return them. Another reason why I went with the postcards, no envelope needed for them to return them :o) and they can pay for a postcard stamp which is apparently cheaper than a normal stamp.

Are you sending invites to everyone? Or just the people you think will come?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
