What Did/Is your Groom Wearing?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to figure out what I should show FI as some suggestions as to what to wear. Even though he's literally letting me dress him, LOL! I don't want him to be over the top dressed up (no bow ties, etc), but I know that he still wants to wear a tux. My dress is pretty elegant still and I don't want him to look way too casual next to me.

This is my dress

Bonus points if you show pictures of your men or inspiration pics!

Hi there... We actually went suit shopping yesterday, intending to look at the tan/khaki linen suits at Brooks Brothers, Lord & Taylor and JCrew. And we did, but we also got drawn into the classic seersucker suit too. But thinking we may do that for rehearsal dinner night. My FI is basically letting me dress him too, so I was very surprised when he got excited about this suit (pictured below). Not what I expected at all! And after some thought & discussion, it has grown on me. Probably not the bowtie, but the rest of the suit would work. It would be SO unique, which I love and he seems happy. And more formal than the tan suit. Still not sure if we pull the trigger though.

depending on your location and when you are getting married, take into account the heat. I have photographed a groom in all linen, which completely soaks through with sweat and is very obvious. my groom this week wore a gray suit which is harder to see sweat through although it is heavier

For my fiance, we ordered a custom linen suit (in smoke) from

www.islandimporters.com

Our groomsmen will wear matching custom linen pants in smoke and an ivory short sleeved linen shirt from the same website.

I cant wait to see it!

You're much braver than I am! LOL! I'm not sure either of us would go for it, but I'm sure it'll be awesome for you guys!

We're getting married on the Oregon coast so it doesn't get too terribly hot during the Summer. :)

Here's what my FI will be wearing, with a green tie and the shirt sleeves rolled up mid arm.   He'll be sporting green Converse Chuck Taylors too.   The Groomsmen have the same grey pants, but they'll just be wearing the white shirts and no ties.  I think he looks so Dapper!!  I can't wait to marry him!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
