Hey ladies! I finally got my dress! Well, I'm going to put the deposit on Friday and then am going to do payments on it. But it's a sample so no need to order! Anyway, I am going to be wearing my hair up and completely out of my face and I don't want to be too flashy either.

I do have a hair flower that my friend made for me (picture below) that I plan on wearing. But besides that I'm at a loss. I'm awful at this sort of thing, LOL!

Also a bit lost on the shoe front, so any help would be appreciated! I want to keep them elegant, and FI is only an inch taller so I'm thinking flats or low wedges.

(sorry, huge pictures. This is my first time posting photos on BDW)

Love the dress as well. ARe you getting married...you could do a wedge that you could glam up yourself....I have seen a few brides on here do them to sandals and they look really nice....

If you are looking for elegant I would be tempted to go with something traditional like a white kitten heel!

Good luck and looking forward to seeing your posts! I am going to try on dresses for the first time on Saturday!!!! sooo excited!

Thanks so much ladies! She's the polar opposite of what I pictured myself in, but I couldn't love her any more than I do! cheesy.gif

Sorry, I should have mentioned we're going to be directly on the beach. So a kitten heel won't really work =/ I'm thinking wedges, but I'm having the hardest time finding elegant and low ones! Who knew shoe shopping could be so hard?

I will be wearing a fingertip length veil for the ceremony, but taking it off for the reception. Hugging and veils are no bueno!

We're doing shades of blue. I think the best way to portray our theme is through the cake....so bare with me, LOL.

ooohhhh beautiful cake! I would go barefoot and do some really pretty barefoot jewelry! You can also go with flip flops and glam them up. With a hot glue gun and some Michaels coupons your possibilities are endless. As far as jewelry I really like the clear lucite jewelry or maybe something blue and dangly for a necklace. But I am also artsy fartsy so my style may not necessarily work for you. Have you checked out pinterest? There are literally thousands of ideas for wedding accessories on there.

Thank you so much! I love how the ruffles replicate the ocean waves.

I was thinking of barefoot jewelry! Wasn't sure what anyone thought of it if they'd worn it? Is it comfortable?

I'm not sure about a necklace just because I don't want to take away from the neckline. Maybe some earrings and a bracelet that are more simple? But what! haha. I am on Pinterest, I'm just awful at accessorizing, LOL!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
