Hi everyone! I'm hoping to get some advise from the experts. My fiance and I want to get married on the beach in Bora Bora (or possibly another location in Tahiti) but from the research we've done so far, it looks like having a Christian ceremony on the beach is out of the question. We haven't contacted a travel agency yet, we've just been corresponding with a few of the resorts there.

Can anyone offer us any advise on this?

Thank you! cheer2.gif

Hi there!

Welcome to the forum. I don't think we have any Bora Bora brides.. although it would be awesome if we did.

I looked into Bora Bora and Fiji... truly would be a dream come true, but you are right, having any kind of traditional/christian ceremony didn't seem like an option anywhere... even to do any kind of legal ceremony i think seemed pretty difficult. if you really want to do it there you might need to consider doing it in the US first, or right afterwards. or, some of those polynesian ceremonies looked really cool in my opinion.

nonetheless, keep us posted!!!!

welcome3.gif to the forum! I think any type of Polynesian (sp?) ceremony would seem cool but I agree that it is probably hard to have a typical christian ceremoy there. However I do think that you picked a very beautiful place. It is also possible that you nay be able to fly someone in from the states to perform your wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
