Working out can be a difficult thing for me if I don't have enough motivation. BUT what I do is make my best friend work out with me. She's really athletic and likes to keep herself in shape. We go to the gym every evening and on days when I call her and say "I don't think I'm going to be able to make it" she comes over to my house and makes me leave. So try getting a workout partner woot.gif

That's what I need- a workout partner. my workout partners started training for marathons & triathalons. So now I workout alone. I need to get more motivated. I'm in a slump. Seeing my halloween pic from 3 years ago motivated me. I used to show my stomach!

Which leads to my next point. With this being the theme of my wedding, when I show some of my closest peeps my wedding dress they tell me..."Oh, I thought you would have something more glamourous than that." They are starting to make me feel like I need a "Wow" dress when that's not what I am going for. I want something natural and when I first saw my dress my eyes lit up. When I found out it was on sale and was $150 cheaper than I thought, my eyes lit up even more...lol. But even til this day, I look at the dress on line and I feel it and I am still in love with it... But is it appropriate since it is my BIG DAYhuh.gif

Please give me words of wisdom ladies...lol smile35.gif

Your dress is stunning! This is YOUR WEDDING....not anyone else's. I ALWAYS break the rules. I would not describe my wedding as "Beachy"...no starfish or palm trees for me.....(although i did see an invite with the starfish that was toooooo cute!!). My wedding will be modern, contemporary, and elegant. My colors are chocolate, mint, and cream. I want to have a "spa" type of ambience feel to it. I'm having 2 gowns. I'm having my ceremony "traditional, gown" with pickups, sweetheart top, Corset lace up back....Maggie Sottero style, no vail, just a crystal headband in my hair (everyone is telling me, "you can't wear that big, hot, dress in Jamaica), but i didn't want to wear a dress that I can wear everyday......and then I will change into a slinky number maybe an ABS design for the reception with a flower in my hair.

I have to lose at least about 10 lbs to get in this damn dress, but I can't work up enough UMPH to workout. I bout a gym membership, I occasionally do kickboxing and running...and I still can't go on a regular basis. Even the crazy thought of me having back fat in front of everyone and in my pics on the beach, still doesn't motivate me. Someone please help me!!!

I have to admit it is hard for me because I work a crazy insane demented night shift from 5:30 pm to 7:30 am three to four days a week so most of my free time is sleeping. But at work (I work ini a large bakery) I do walk ALOT and while I walk I lung and do other things to try and get exercise in. I drink water, but I never have time to eat. I haven't lost lbs, but people tell me it looks like my clothes are getting bigger. I have heard people say///"muscle weighs more than fat" and I understand that...but that doesn't help me deal with the issue that...I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT/INCHES/SOMETHING...just get me in the dress, lol !!!

I need serious guidance... feedback.gif
Yes, muscle does weight more than fat. I workout often and I'm in a salsa dance group so i get alot of cardio that way, but when I go to the gym, I maily focus on weight training and that made the numbers go up on the scale. When i'm tired or not really feeling up to it, I literally have to INVISION MY WEDDING DAY & BEING ON THE BEACH and that kinda gives me an energy boost and stay committed. Speaking of that, I WAS SUPPOSE to go to the gym today, but I'm too tired......go figure.....smile120.gif

Guess I'm not much motivation at all. lol

Hey guys!

I just wanted to share my weight loss story...hopefully it will help you out a bit. I decided I needed to lose weight when I became engaged. I don't know about you all, but when I entered this relationship I looked pretty good! But I became too comfortable, and my FH is an amazing cook. He is Pakistani and we eat ALOT of curry, which includes much rice and potatoes. Needless to say, I packed on a good 25 pounds.

Since March 2007, I have lost approximately 27 pounds. For me, it all comes down to portions. In the morning, I will have a cup of cereal with skim milk. For lunch, a Lean Cuisine (because it's quick and easy) with a V8 juice or salad. Most importantly, for dinner I will use a side plate to eat off of. This keeps my portions in check. I can fill it up as much as I want, but that is all I can eat. I try to keep my calories at about 1200 per day. It has worked wonders!!

As for exercise, I hate it! But I have an elliptical and I try to exercise a minimum of three days a week for at least 20 minutes. I decided I didn't want to push myself, and then end up quitting. In the end a little exercise is better than no exercise at all! And I have it set up in front of the TV in the guest room...I need the stimulation smile29.gif

Hope this helps a bit!

Cherie

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
