Wedding Theme

Hey Ladies, I need help. Everyone wants to know what my wedding theme is. I have no ideal. I am getting married at the Riu in Ja. So I thought that being in Ja was the theme. I guess I was wrong I can up with Island elegance. But I don't know what the means. So how do I create my theme? At the wedding? Reception? When?

I always say "Beach Chic." I've had a few people ask me about theme....but mostly they just figure it is naturally going to be beachy.......

I guess my theme is considered "beachy", like most of the other girls here. Almost everything I am doing has to do with the beach, i.e. starfish, hibiscus flowers, etc.

I am doing beachy as well, mostly starfish and palm trees...

I guess mine focuses mostly on "Tropical" as opposed to "Beachy" Using lots of palm trees. Verbally, I say my "theme" (or overall feeling I want to communicate at my wedding) is "Easy, breezy, and beautiful" (like Covergirl!)

 

(No stiff hard hair, no tons of wedding traditions, very little formality!)

we really went with the vineyard idea since we wound up using the colors of grapes and my monograms had a grape vine in them...I don't think you have to have a theme, but if you say Jamaican or beachy I think people will get the idea. Think about your decor and what you are going for and that is your theme, I don't think it has to mean a themed party like a birthday party or anything.

I think I have embraced the hibiscus flower. I use it for everything. I am even going to get a tattoo of one after the wedding!

If you love your dress, and its what you envisioned, it doesn't matter what other people think. I can't remember if you posted your dress, but I'm sure its beautiful Your vision sounds like a more laid back elegance, and a less formal dress would definitely be appropriate! It will be beautiful - go with what you want!

Your dress is beautiful. Ignore your friends. They can do what they want when they get married. You found your perfect dress, and it doesn't matter what they think.
