Girls, I am getting stuff done! In the last few days I have ordered our wedding bands. Here's FI's tungsten carbide ring:

700

We ordered his suit from Indochino:

700

I finally ordered tote bags for the OOT bags. I'm going to paint them, but I haven't decided how yet. I also ordered those cheap, waterproof watches (in various colours) for the bags:

700

I found a pair of sandals for the reception and I might wear them for the ceremony too:

700

I got the necklace and earrings I'm going to wear:

700

700

We finalized our menu. I ordered wooden peg people so I can paint them for our cake topper (we'll see how that goes). We also had four more guests decide they're coming, yay!

How's everyone doing? Let's motivate each other. Less than 3 months!

Looking good Tealmarie......love the Sandals! We are working on finalizing our games for the jack and Jill and assembling our OOT bags ( given the size of our group, we have to give the bags before we leave as it would cost me a fortune to travel with them). I will post pics once I'm finished

Thanks for the tip about wearing some for a photo before the ceremony. I'll probably do that because I already have a lovely pair. Like I said I'll probably do barefoot sandals and then dressy sandals for the reception to dance in. Love the lace on your dress by the way!

Thank you! I'm a sucker for anything lace. :) Be sure to post your shoe photos here once you get them, all three pairs! I think that's a girl's dream, to have a reason to wear three different types of footwear on her wedding day. :D

Congratulations to all of you upcoming November brides! I wanted to reach out about a show I am helping to cast for a MAJOR network. We need couples that are getting married between now and December of 2013.

I will copy/paste the details below. If you are interested email me ASAP – as in by the end of this week at the latest (sarahmcdowd@gmail.com) or reply here with: 1) Your names, ages, city you live in, and your wedding date 2) Phone number and email 3) A brief bio about you guys as a couple. Who is the rock, and who is the crazier one? Do you guys have a lot in common or are you complete opposites? Etc etc.

More info about the show:

A leading production company and a major network are seeking dynamic upscale engaged couples getting married between September 2013 and November 2013 or March 2014 and May 2014 for a series that will capture the lives of newlywed couples throughout their first year of marriage.

Following a cast of incredibly successful, bold, diverse and wealthy newlywed couples, the series will showcase all of the celebrations, challenges, milestones and rewards that take place between their wedding day and their one-year anniversary.

Couples from anywhere in the United States will be considered. In addition to the New York tri-state area and Southern California (Silicon Valley, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego), producers are especially interested in affluent couples from Phoenix, Scottsdale, Richmond, Charlotte and Savannah that are socially and professionally prominent in careers that cater to luxury, fashion, sports, social media, real estate, and finance. Additionally, it is of great interest to identify couples that have a host of big events, plans and potentially challenging circumstances that they plan to address soon after they tie the knot.

To be considered, couples must be willing to share their special day and commit to filming for a year after their wedding.

Interested couples should email me directly (and ASAP – as in this week!):  sarahmcdowd@gmail.com

Ok November Brides....  I'm wondering if I am on track.... (Kind of worried that I am not with two months to go)

- Bridesmaids all have their dresses (and don't need alterations)

- Went for my first fitting yesterday

- Bridal Jewelry and shoes have been purchased

- Wedding bands have been purchased

- Grooms attire has been purchased

I am working on the last foot jewelry, we have to write our vows, I have to create the ceremony script (or at least have an idea of what we want), and pick out music for the ceremony and reception and load it onto an ipod.   I still need to find gifts for my bridesmaids, but I am going to go shopping some time this week and hope that I find something.  I think I am ok, but am worried that I have forgotten something...

Anyone else?  I can't believe how close this is...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
