Well we have finally set a date for the wedding and picked out the perfect cruise for our family and friends to come along on with us. We are really excited and I have just started to kick my planning into a higher gear.

I have a pretty good idea even without sending invitations who is and who isn't coming but I still feel like I want to get the invitations out asap.

Anyways just wanted to start a post where I will likely post the progress of the wedding....and post any knowledge about the Carnival Magic and it's wedding info....

Yay! Looking forward to hearing about all of your ideas too! This site doesn't have as much cruise specific stuff but I love all of the forums and I am working to getting the 150 posts so I can access the templates!

Yes me too I think I am at 55 posts now!

Cool! I actually phoned todAy and booked our cabin on the ship and put a 48 hr hold on the wedding... The wedding person told me that no one else had booked yet which is exactly what I wanted. Now I just have to make up my save the dates and invites and send those out and see who comes!!!

Congratulations on booking your rooms. I will hopefully locking down a date and a wedding cruise soon. We are going on a cruise this weekend through Norwegian. This is my FI's first cruise, I didn't want his first experience cruising to be our wedding cruise. So please cross your fingers that he likes cruising (so I can continue planning)!

Oh my fingers are definitely crossed but don't worry. I took my FI on his first cruise last Jan and he was not into it to start....once he was on board he had such a blast it was no bother to convince him to book our wedding on a cruise.

Just relax and have fun while on the cruise and try and find something that he will really want to do and splurge on that....can you guys check out shore excursions together before you leave? That was one of FI's and mines favorite ways to pass the time before a cruise...and now before the wedding!!!

We are cruising in 3 days and counting! I tried to check out the ship and excursions online and he just doesn't get excited about those things. We are on a STRICT budget, so I won't be doing any excursions. :=(  He loves Kareoke so we will definitely do that. On our Nassau day, we are going to head over to Atlantis and hang out for the day. So I definitely have things planned for us to do... and plus we just scored an upgrade to a balcony room. SWEEEET! woot.gif

That is awesome!!! You are so lucky....We loved ordering breakfast every morning with the card that you leave on the door at night. Each morning we would have juice and coffee and toast and fruit out on the balcony and it was some of the best memories of the ship!!! Enjoy every minute of it and you will definitely be all set for cruising for the wedding! I know he will find something he likes. Even on a strict budget you can get a lot done on the ship...walk around the ports or make friends with others on the ship and see what they are doing...you can get some great deals when you team up with others!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
