My husband and I got married on May 21, 2012 at Iberostar Rose Hall Suite in Jamaica. (Beautiful and great wedding planning!) But that is not what I am here to write about!

We opted to find a different off the resort photographer as the resort package was kinda small. We contacted Marcia E Roberts Photography through her website/email. She got back to us very quickly (within a couple days) and gave us a print out of her package prices.

Her prices are very reasonable. We also planned our wedding a little over a year a head of time so it was easier to save up that extra money to afford to get a different photographer.

Marcia and her assistant (yes you get TWO photographers!) came to the resort as I was getting ready with hair and makeup. Took photos there. Went back to the room, more photos of the girls and then they went and did some photos with the guys. Obviously she was there for our entire wedding, right after the wedding we did a photo shoot with everyone and some of just us on the beach. She then stayed for our reception and took even more pics! We also decided to do the "Trash the Dress" shoot and she came back the next day and we took more pictures in the pool and the beach.

We got our pictures about 2-3 weeks after the wedding. It was a lot faster than I expected! We got about 1270 different pictures on one disk and then she made a DVD slideshow of some of the best ones. Very neat and personal to the couple! LOVED IT!

Marcia and her assistant were very friendly and extremely creative with some of the photos that they took of us. There were a couple that when we were taking them, I was questioning what they would look like.. and seriously, when I got our disks, those were my favorites! :)

Overall, Marcia E Roberts Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!

If you have any questions about her or her services, you can reply I am more than willing to give more info!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
