@@Lilian84 The veil made me feel like I was wasting money (that I could be putting into my dress), and that I was being pressured into it because most people this it is tradition. I plan on doing a simple beachy/every day me, hair style, and I want it that way so the focus is on the dress, not my veil. It was painful at times, and just irritating to constantly have to push back all the time. If I feel that way after maybe, 5 minutes max, I could only imagine how much I would hate it all day.

One more post closer! ahah

Wow. I can't believe they'd pressure you! I said no veil and she offered alternatives - bird cage, tiara, etc. I'm

Opting for none of the above just a nice flower with a fairly basic hair do! I have shorter hair - inverted bob so not much I can do anyways :)

The entire Catholic ceremony we’re doing is for the benefit of my FH, since I’m not even Christian. So I’m bowing to tradition on this one and wearing a veil, because FH loves the traditional/classic bridal look. But even so I really love how a good veil completes my dress.

That being said, I have no desire to pay a lot for one. I will probably end up buying something basic and inexpensive, then me and my FSIL will bling it out with crystals and detailing ourselves. :)

I love veil and this dress is looking awesome on you. Before reading this post I also think same the veils are not looks good on short hair, me also have short hairs. This post helps me a lot to get me out for choosing the veil dress.

I wasn't sure about whether or not I wanted a veil - then I tried some on when I shopped for my dress and it really made me feel more like a bride! I bought the veil but am still concerned about whether or not it would be a hassle for a beach ceremony with possible wind and all.

I wasn't going to do a veil, but fell in love with this blinged out one I found here!

I'm doing that and a small tiara - pretty sure that is not normal for a beach wedding but oh well lol

I'm hoping to get a small headpiece made (kind of like an small teardrop hat) with a removable blusher veil. I'm toying with getting a longer one off ebay just for photos, but I don't know if that will just be weird.

@@NotSoWitty I don't think that would be weird at all! I hear that many people who even if they don't wear the veil for the ceremony bring a veil for photos! Even though I haven't decided whether or not to wear one for the ceremony, I'll have one for photos.
