To Veil or not to Veil?

Recommended Posts

@@MissJen3 Yes I understand... I have long thick hair and it is one of the things my fiance loves about me. I'm pretty sure I know what he would like my hair to look like and I'm not sure a veil would go with that style. But I do love the pictures with the long veils surrounding the couple. So maybe i'll try to find a 'cheap one' if it exists, just for our pictures.

@@Lilian84 My mom suggested making a 'cheap one.' Perhaps I will pass your information along to her. haha. My SIL also offered up hers for me to borrow. I do not know why exactly that I feel so strongly about not having one.

I do agree with you about it looking beautiful in pictures.

@@MissJen3 you feel that way because it's not you. And that's ok. Actually a really long piece of tulle attached to your hair could look like a veil in pictures and be pretty cheap. This is a great idea actually. Thank your mom for me :)

@@Lilian84 I wore it to my pre-wedding photoshoot. It's an Asian thing...we wear formal wear to our photoshoots instead of casual wear. So, no engagement photos, just pre-wedding photos. It kinda make sense for us since I bought a wedding gown for quite a bit of coin to only wear it for a few hours? I don't think so! Better rock it over a few photoshoots!

I will be wearing the same dress and veil for our wedding in Dec.

I have some more pictures of our photoshoot here: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/topic/76802-elsas-arthurs-wedding-rprm-20141208/?p=1864158

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
