To Veil or not to Veil?

Recommended Posts

I recommened you to go for veil, it will enchance your personality. choosing a veil is very stressful work but  i can advice you,If your dress is high-necked or has detail on the shoulders, then going for a long veil would be a better choice and if a gown has back detailing then short veil would be a wise choice. Wider veils can be favorable with brides wearing strapless dresses though wanting a little coverage around the arms.

If I do have a veil I want a long one. Go big or go home! Just for ceremony and some pictures.

I agree 100%! My pre-wedding photos came out really nice with a long veil and my photographer was very glad that I had a long veil.

I went to try on wedding dresses for the first time this week, and all of the bridal store people looked at me strange when I told them I didnt want a veil. When I was in a dress that I was uncertain about, and they were " jacking me up" to help with the decision, they always wanted to try it with a veil. I gave in once, just to see, and I didnt feel any more like a bride than I did without the veil.

Yeah I don't think a veil would make me feel like more of a bride tbh. But i'm sure for some brides it makes a difference. @@MissJen3 we are almost there.... feel free to explain in depth how the veil made you feel, or not feel actually lol

@@Lilian84 The veil made me feel like I was wasting money (that I could be putting into my dress), and that I was being pressured into it because most people this it is tradition. I plan on doing a simple beachy/every day me, hair style, and I want it that way so the focus is on the dress, not my veil. It was painful at times, and just irritating to constantly have to push back all the time. If I feel that way after maybe, 5 minutes max, I could only imagine how much I would hate it all day.

One more post closer! ahah

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
