Hi

I am doing passport invites for my wedding and I printed off one to see how it looks but no matter what I do the pages don't line up on the front and back. I even designed the outline on one page and copy and pasted it on the next and it all looks the same on my computer but printed everything is off by a small amount and when I cut it one side of the paper looks great but the other is missing stuff.

I am getting frustrated and have tried starting over numerous times, so I really hope that someone can please help.

Thanks so much

Hi,

If you do a search for passport templates, you should be ablet to find several that will help and you could simply copy and paste your information in there.  A lot of brides used a template from Alyee Bits (I think I spelled this write)

Hope this help

Hey Angela,

Although I didn't do passport invites myself, I have helped other brides create their templates, and as far as I know, their test prints have printed okay.

What program did you use? did you double check your margins? Did you turn on your gird to verify alignment? When you choose double sided printing are you printing along the short edge or the long edge? An easy fix (dependent on your design) might be to extend the image area in both directions by and 1/8" or so to compensate for the misalignment which will give you some play when you cut out the invites - Does that make sense?

Let me know if any of this helps, I'm sure there's away to get this right without re-inventing the wheel.

Thanks for your help, I would love to be able to fix these as I am pretty proud of them especially considering this is my first big DIY project, I would still like to tweak them a little but it won't mean anything if I can't print them.

I have tried both PowerPoint and word, and the one where I even set up a layout is in word. When I used PowerPoint I used the lines that they have as my guide and I am printing on the long edge.

Angela,

You could very well still use your information and just copy and paste into a blank template that was already set-up.  Just trying to save you a headache.  However; if that is not an option whenever I printed these for a friend I did double sided, short edge.

Hope this help.  Happy Planning

Thanks I will try that :) I found the Alyee bits so I am going to try that too.  I am having a hard time finding templates here, I searched it but came up with ones where the templates have been removed.

I appreciate the help you guys are giving me, I feel a lot better right now. I was so frustrated but hopefully with some help I can get it to work so again thank you!!!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
