Hi everyone, im soo overwhelmed with all the reviews and can't seem to make up my mind on which resort to choose..

my choices are dreams Los Cabos or Moon palace since both of these already had previous Sikh-Indian weddings....

however, my question is how do I get a Sikh priest in order to have the ceremony?? We're planning to get married in 2013...

the exact date is not set yet....... I would really appreciate if anyone could help me with this :) thanks.

Congrats Jassorani and welcome to the forum ! Indian weddings are so beautiful - especially with the incredible backdrop of our Mayan Riviera, so good choice of wedding locations - well done :)

Here's one of the wedding golden "moments that matter" we shot at a recent Indian wedding.......and a link to the rest of the album ...https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.465039429486.252466.18683524486&type=3

There is a Gurdwara in Mexico City and the Baba there will preform your wedding. You need to contact him and sort the details. You fly him in, pay for his accommodations, food and services obviously. I am not sure why anyone couldn't just tell you this without a PM unless it is to solicit business but there you go- free info from me. Google the gurdwara.

Thanks Maya2009!! We are currently planning a sikh wedding some where in the mayan riveria.. and your right.. that information is (for whatever reason) hard to obtain.

Would that be something that the wedding planner would take care of (very early stages of planning) or would we do that ourselves?

Have you ladies had any luck as to a good place that would accomodate alot of guests/tons of kids (all ages).

Not to sure where to start.. i  figure finding a resort that we like is a good place to begin.. lol

Hi Sikh brides!

I am also planning my wedding in the Mayan Rivera in 2013. The baba Ji from Mexico City's name is Arjan Singh, from the Sikh Center of Mexico - just google him and you will find his contact info.

Have any of you found a good wedding planner in Mexico that you are currently working with? Also as for resorts, I know a few people have recommended Dreams, Secrets and the Moon Palace, and the Riu Palace as well. I haven't picked my resort yet but I want to find something that's got a few nice suites so my family can be comfortable.

Hi,

My sister is getting married in Rivera Maya January 2013 and we are having a hard time getting in touch with the Baba Ji. Do you have contact details for him or anyone else that performs Sikh ceremonies in Mexico?

Appreciate your help!

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for the info about the Babaji. I'm just wondering, does he bring everything with him, including the people for the Kirtaan, the Guru Granth Saab, the Ramals for the set up (besides what we need to bring as our bridal gift)?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
