Hi!

I have learned so many priceless tips off of this website, I felt it was my duty to share with everyone my experiences as well. Please feel free to comment on anything you may see!

My boyfriend and I met March, 2010. He proposed to me on December 28th, 2012 in a cozy cabin in Texas Hill Country.

After many weeks of research and soul searching, I realized that a beach destination wedding was the only way to do it.  I have never used a travel agent previously, but knew that would be the best place to start. I enlisted the services of a local agent I had met at the Bridal Extravaganza, however I was not satisfied at all with the service. I then hired a 'master secrets agent' I found through my resort's facebook page.

I quickly made most of the major decisions: destination, date, wedding party.

My next step was to ask my bridesmaids and MOH to stand by my side. 20120207_150105[1].jpg20120207_150137[1].jpg

Our save the dates, which were sent to all of our guests in February.  Our resort, SMB, helped produce this photo (it's not us) and I had them made on Zazzle.20120128_094610[1].jpg

Although, I am unsure of the total number of guest that will attend, we already have over 20 booked. I decided to start working on my OOT bags.  I just received the first item. All the females will recieve a white mug with a top (from Factory 21), and the boys will reveive a black koozie.20120612_151128[1].jpg

I really wanted to print personalized stamps for our invitations, but realized they were double the cost. Instead, I had photo stickers in black and white printed to seal my inviites. I had these m

made by Snapfish for under $40 for 150 of them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
