MMMMMM, yummy! I love chicken in mole sauce. I've made it before using something like this Click the image to open in full size.

I remember a family friend making it from scratch one time...it was pretty labor intensive, but sooo good. It has chiles, cocoa, and of all things peanut butter in it as I recall.

My FI makes Mole from scratch - it takes all day!

There is a mole starter sauce at William Sonoma - try that. I believe that they have a full recipe on the bottle.

In the Mexican food aisle at the grocery store. Or, maybe it's the ethnic food aisle or something PC like that smile120.gif

If you can buy a bottle of Mole Doña Maria (one of the best) in the Mexican section of the grocery, you just add chicken broth on the pan until it gets the consistency you want, needs to be like a sauce not too watery.

Then you pour it over your chicken or you can add sliced chicken breast, and as you mention, the best way to eat mole is with rice and beans and obviously warm tortillas!!! mmmmmmm

PS I will ask my aunt to give me the family recipe... and I will share it as soon as I have it...
