        Have you checked out tripadvisor.com?? You can see pics from actual travelers,not what the resort wants you to see. I found it really helpful on making my final decision. Hope it helps :)

          Just read a review on TripAdvisor that they are planning to renovate the deluxe rooms. I wonder when that is supposed to be happen? That would be amazing if the rooms were all done by next September and my guests scored all newly renovated rooms! I will ask when I go down and see what I can find out.

              Hi Girls! I am a 2012 Azul Beach Bride (October 14th, it's getting close!). It's so fun to hear from all of you. I am pretty far into the planning (final contract is due at the end of the month) so if you have any questions feel free to ask. Happy planning!


              P.S. Alot of you have talked about photography/videography. I went with Playa Weddings after I saw two videos they shot at ABH. They are a husband and wife team, and booking them together means only ONE outside vendor fee. Here's a link to one of the videos where they did both the videography and photography.                 Steph - I'm getting married at AB in April. Did they tell you only one wedding a day? I specifically asked and they told me they can do two weddings a day. However, there can be only one private reception a day. So it is possible you will have to share your wedding ceremony location, but if you book a private reception, you will be the only one that day.  That's what they told me, but who knows!

                  It's true - there can be two weddings a day but only one private reception. I confirmed this with my WC, it is a recent change (this year).

                    Oh!! I wasled to believe only one a day, but we are having a private reception on the beach that night. Maybe that's why they have me at 6 pm for my ceremony! Either way, its not a big deal...its still only two a day, way better than the bigger resorts :)

                      I heard that it also depends on if you have someone set the decorations up vs have the hotel staff do it. My sister has offered to do the home brought decoration set up! Hope it brings the cost down!
