Hi everyone! I am booked for February 16, 2013 at Azul Beach. I love the 2013 thread you all have started!

I have booked a wedding rehearsal marshmallow bonfire, the ceremony on the beach, farewell dinner at one of their restaurants, and Samuel Luna as the photographer.

My friend will do my hair - guess I still need to find makeup vendor. Also crossing my fingers about the hotel DJ - sounds like I need to check out the vendor you all mentioned!

Also can't figure out where to have the reception after the wedding! The pictures of the sites that I was provided weren't very helpful. I have approx 35 guests - too many for many of the places and too little for the Azul Terrace that I thought looked nice. Someone else who was married at another resort in the area said she had the reception on the beach, but all the food arrived cold, so she didn't recommend it. My choices seem to be the Blue Restaurant or the ballroom. Any advice on which might be better is welcome!!!

Thank you ladies!

Did you ask about the Wave Lounge? I am having my "rehearsal dinner" there, but just appetizers and drinks. I've attached a link to a picture. I think it would be beautiful! We're just too big at almost 60. Did you actually check on the max capacity with your WC or just the Lomas website? I'm already over the "max" on two of my private locations, so there is apparently some wiggle room.

  • 3 weeks later...

at TarynM .........Hello!!! OMG!!! I too am looking at Azul Beach for October 2013. Do you have any photos? I did not want to visit just going by photos and reviews. Any input? Suggestions? I too am looking to doing a 3 day event. Welcome Dinner, Ceremony, and Goodbye brunch. If you don't mind me asking after everything I've read that they nickel and dime you for everything, what's your experience so far on that and budgeting. I am very picky and detailed orientated soooooooo NERVOUS!!! I plan on taking my own Photographer from home.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
