Hair & Makeup Services

Recommended Posts

When I originally contacted Neysa, her online form wasn't working. I just received a reply yesterday as I making my final payment via Pay Pal, so hopefully you try again. To have Neysa come to the resort, you have to book 4 services. I booked my hair and make up and make up for our mom's. My bridesmaids chose to save a little money and use the Dreams salon and I was totally fine with that. I purchased their dresses and was okay if they did their own hair and make up. It's a beach destination wedding so I had low expectations and didn't want fancy hair or make up. However, they still want their hair and make up done so they are using Dreams. My fiance and I are gifting our mom's make up by Neysa so I wouldn't have to travel to and from her salon. You can see Neysa's price menu on her web site. She has packages available for you and the bridesmaids, which does reduce the per person cost. There is a $35 travel fee per stylist and 11% Tax and 15% gratuity will be included in your final estimate. I have one stylist for four hours so I have only paid one travel fee. Her salon is about 15 minutes away from the resort in case you and the bridesmaids wanted to visit her in the salon. In total, with the taxes, gratuity, and pay pal charge, I am paying about $479. It's a lot, but I purposely budgeted money for hair and make up as it's not my strength and I wanted my hair and make up to be on par with my dress. From feedback, Dreams' salon does a decent job, but as I said, I didn't want everyday make up and hair for myself, especially for all the photos and to compliment my dress. Hope this helps.

thank you very much for this. I've emailed her again - guess we'll see if I hear back. I also agree that I'd prefer Neysa but my bridesmaids may want the Dreams crew. Super helpful info. thanks!

I just emailed Dreams about booking hair and make up there. I'm really nervous bc it seems everyone goes with Neyssa or Suzanne.... I just couldn't justify their huge cost difference after reviewing all the quotes. Really hoping I don't regret it!!!!! Perhaps with the $$ I am spending on a photographer they can photoshop in better hair if they screw it up :)

Glad you reached Neysa and got quotes. I can understand saving money in certain areas. Hair & make up is where I was okay spending a little more and saving in other areas. And I'm sure your photographer will make your pictures great! Do you get hair and make up at Dreams? From the reviewed I've read, it seems you just need to be clear in words and saple photos of what you want and you should be okay.

I agree with you about it being worth it....unfortunately my FI (who has rarely said a word about budget) thinks that paying double for hair and makeup isn't reasonable. He said "can't you just do your own make-up??" Helpful :P

It is $59 for hair at Dreams and $49 for make-up. Money (in this case) speaks ....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
